Steelers Large, Lions collapse starts now, they were lucky to escape with wins @Redskins (awful OPI call negating TD), Cowboys (obnoxious choke job), and @Bears (Cutler on 1 ankle, and 1/2 a groin). I have no faith in this team to act and play professionally when it counts, another historic nose dive coming. This line is begging you to take the Steelers and I will be on board.

     What the hell is going on in the NFL this season?  Except for the Denvers and Seattles of the world most teams are: injured, lousy, or injured & lousy.  Here we have the Lions sitting atop the NFC North. Are they THAT good? Not really! But in comparison to Pittsburgh,they're miles ahead! Should be an easy cover.

 You just answered your own question Vue - are the Lions THAT good? Not really. How many bailouts to Megatron can Matt Stafford chalk up??? To me, just like the NFC East, the AFC North is still wide open. Giants still in a prime playoff spot, so are the Steelers. Plus, this looks promising for anyone doubting Big Ben's loyalty:

Here is what I can say about this matchup:

1. NO ONE in the Steeler's secondary is winning a jump ball/slowing down Megatron.
2. The Steeler's CAN put up points when they are behind in the game and Ben is running the show
3. A quick pass-catcher out of the backfield (Reggie Bush) can give the Steeler's LB's problems.
4. Regardless if he is showing the trade rumors are total BS or he is showcasing himself to other teams, this could be a CAREER deciding game for Big Ben.

All things considered, I like the Over (just barely) in this one to continue my Steeler's O/U picks this year (3-0).

Picking the Steelers because you "see" a collapse coming from the Lions (which you are probably basing off nothing other than it being the Detroit Lions) and because the "line is begging you to take the Steelers" is not very smart if you are trying to win money here!

Really???  You actually think this is the same Lions team as years past?  When's the last time they had a winning record this late in the season?  In years past, you wouldn't dear bet Lions on the road.  They have three wins on the road this year already (and two losses).

Lions have 6th best offense in the NFL.  Is that luck too?
There defense is another story.

Lions aren't great, but I wouldn't under estimate them.
Do what you have to do.

Looks like Johnson caught 1/3 of the Lions 18 pass completions last week.  Shwartz seems to be a little smarter than I give him credit for.  Looks likes he's using Johnson more and more as a decoy and has some other receivers he's bringing into the picture.  If Burleson ever gets healthy (hopefully this week), look for Stafford to have a big day passing (over 400yds), and watch the Lions make believers out of some.

Actually having a pretty good year thus far. Thats why its a forum, you can chime in with your opinions whenever you want. The Lions tried desperatly to give away that game on Sunday, if Cutler could plant his foot, they would have. Still the same old self destructive Lions (see vs Bengals), except now that have a running game.

The way to go is the Under here, Prime play....I love Detroit but they are going to struggle against the Pitt D....Funny, Detroit have been compared to Syria, they have all the weapons but they just don't know how to use them...!

Pittsburgh Or Detroit ???

I don't know boys.....I have taken a look at Vegas Insider and the Public has been pounding the Detroit Lions since 12pm on November 11th.....80% of the Public is now on the Detroit Lions.....

The Line finally moved a half point from Detroit -2.5 to -3.0 at 8:15pm on November 16th.....And hasn't moved since.....Still at -3.0 Detroit.....

That tends to tell me that it is Public Money moving the Line.....

Detroit isn't very good against the Pass.....Steelers don't run much any more.....I think this plays right into the Steelers Game Plan.....Steelers will pass on Detroit all day at Home, where they are historically are a better team.....

On a side note.....Let's see how Matthew Stafford and the Lions like that Pittsburgh weather and that nasty Steeler Crowd.....
