Just a disclaimer, this was not the only thing I looked at or thought about when handicapping this game, just found it somewhat interesting.....

-- The Houston Astros went on a 5 game losing streak after Hurricane Ike hit

-- The University of Houston got upset by Colorado St Saturday on the road in their first game since Hurricane ike hit.

-- The Houston Texans ___________________ against Tennessee on Sunday in their first game since Hurricane Ike hit.

I have a hard time believing the Texans "are for real and are gonna be contenders this year"...are they going to have a rematch with the steelers in the AFC Championship?...the first game was 35-3 going in to 4th quarter,lmao...I dont think they get out of the perpetual cellar they have been in all along...Titans dont blow anyone out,but I like their chances with Collins to cover less than a TD...Titans-5...GL to all.

Texans +5 (1 unit) vs. Titans - Kerry Collins sucks and he is just a few throws away from his arm falling off. Expect him to get antsy in the pocket today because of Mario Williams which will lead to some bad decisions. Houston already had their bye week which means it kinda gave them an extra week to prepare (but not really). They'll be healthy and hungry to erase their poor offensive performance in Week 1 in Pittsburgh.

honestly i picked this game last night while i was fucked up, but i still think i did a nice job. i took the titans -4.5 and threw them in a teaser with NE and NYG. GLA

bad move, bro. i thought i was safe with a loser team such as the falcons with 15 pts last week on a teaser. i hit 7 of 8. and guess which one didn't cover? u got it, the falcons. they lost by 15 pts. at the very end of the game. and ties lose on most teaser cards. stay away from bad teams as much as u can. and yes, texans are a bad team. their running game is dismal. they simply lack star power.

Titans win this one easily. They have a steady quarterback now who isn't going to make any mistakes, they have some really good running backs, and one of the best defenses in the league. Even more reason is the fact that the Texans got crushed on the road in Week 1....lost their home game last week because of Ike, had to sit around wondering if they were going to play...now they go back on the road and face a tough divisional opponent. Kubiak adds another loss to his record here today.

I got Tenn. -5.5 bad line but it really aint much different than 4.5

Houston is a pathetic example of a football team. The coaching staff calls running plays when they should pass and passing plays when they should run(i.e. 2nd and 1 on the 1 yard line and they pass twice just makes no sense.
