I'm not taking this game but I am posting a warning for potential bettors:
Be aware that the Colts are 0-8 ats off a straight up ats division loss, and that the Texans have their number at home 1-4 ats last 5 times visiting Reliant Stadium. The atmosphere will be electric as the Texans will play all out for the hurricane victims. The public still hasn't lost enough money on the Colts for their spreads to become favorable yet. You can take them next week as they are 8-2 ats in the game immediately following the games against the Texans. Now go forward and admit to yourself that you were warned. The public will drive this number up to one that they can't cover, and guess what? You will take the bait too.

Not to rip your analysis but how many of those games were after the Colts bye week? An injured team like the Colts is helped a lot by the week off, plus 2 weeks to game plan by Manning is huge. I just can't see them being so bad as to lose to the Texans. Texans aren't getting enough points because they just played the Jags really tough.
I do agree that the line will move up, so get in now if you like the Colts.
Colts -3

how can you give such a great analysis then say "no play"...again, your points are spot on....but if you aren't going to put your money where you mouth is, you should say "no balls" instead of "no play".
Houston will win straight up - and I have the testicular fortitude to put my money where my mouth is.

That team needed a week off to get their timing down, and to heal.... and Saturday is back...... they played 3 quality teams and really should be 2-1..... as we saw the other night the Bears are the truth this year, that defense is no joke.....
Houston Texans??? they aren't bad and they do always give the Colts problems, and they have a good back steve slaton, everybody who knows college football knows him.... BUT...
the mismatch I see here is the Texans Defense.... if you look up the stats this defense is giving up 33 points average per game...
They made Pitt look like the 07 PATS....
I agree with WATCH'S CAP on the fact that the COLTS are 0-8 ATS off a SU ATS division loss........ which is more of a reason why I am not Laying 3 points....
INDY MONEYLINE.........
This is not a 1-3 team....... They are too good to lose off a bye week

This is my favorite bet of the week....
COLTS OFF A BYE WEEK?!?!?!??!

i know the Colts are dominant off of a bye... and yea byes help heal injuries... but two things i think you have to consider here...
1) the Colts, even after the bye, are still one of the teams most affected by injuries right now... they still have a lot of guys who are either out, or playing hurt...
2) the Colts D line is non-existent right now... the middle of that line is an open invitation for 200 yard rushing games...
seen Houston play Indy tight too many times... both teams need a win badly... Houston ML or nothin' at all...

I agree with your logic of players playing injured, the the thing about the bye week that I believe is more significant is the fact that Manning gets 2 weeks to run plays before this game.... he didn't play preseason, or even practice.... its not like your a wideout like Plax and can just rely on your talent... at the qb position with much more responsibility no preseason is HUGE... even if its just 1 quarter.... now on the bye week that split second COLT timing is now sychronized as it wasn't the previous weeks.... watch this team have a high scoring game just like 3 years ago when their defense was horrible and all they can do is win a shootout with every opponent....
ask Brett Farve how big the Jets bye week is besides the ankle healing.... its just another week to get more in tune.... houston just played the Jags last Sunday.... the advantage in preparation will be the factor in this game

NOTHING TO DISCUSS ABOUT HERE. INDY -3 for 3K. Peyton got a bye week to get his timing back. He didn't have much time in the preseason. This should give him plenty of time to practice and get along with harrison. MONEY IN THE BANK.

Not sure what I am going to do here - live in Houston for 20 + yrs.
Addai is from sharpstown HS though and this is our home opener following Ike. They should have tons of tributes for that and may give extra motivation. Also the roof will be open for all home games due to damage from Ike so the colts will have to play in close to 100 heat index.
Just food for thought - liking over and leaning TX points or ML...

Watch, this is an important game for the Colts. They are pretty much in a big hole if they don't win this game. I know that you're not going to play this game, but what are your feelings about this game, and if you had to choose a play for it what would you do.
Uh you know, Watch is gonna do what Watch is gonna do. let's ask more questions about me, you know what I mean? It's kind of hard for me to have room for anything else to think about in my head. Naw seriously, I really hadn't given it much thought, but I would guess that it's gonna be a high scoring game, so why not take the over. And look i don't give interviews without a sitting fee. Get outta here! You're messing up everyone's view of me. Could you have the girl in the van bring me some pomegranate and kiwi juice please with shaven ice made with bottled water, and not cubes from tap? Thank you.
