I usually seem to go against most of the "post-ers" on this thread but tonight I actually like Jax too. This is their Superbowl and I think they will be fired up for once. Jax +6.5--GLA

 Update, Bob Sanders expected to start against the Jags.  Rushing defense will greatly improve with him back in the lineup.  Will be able to focus more on MJD with Fred Taylor out.  Going with the Colts, small play on the over.

Just heard some sad news over the radio that one of the local homeless shelters didn't raise enough toys for all the kids at the shelter this year for X-mas.  We are trying to get something going along with friends to make sure no child is left without a toy this year for X-mas at that shelter , so if I don't have time to get back on here today good luck bro.

Still without my final numbers yet but I'll be on the Jax final..

All the JAC backers better hurry.....you think line will drop down further to -5 by gametime?? The line movement reflects some action on JAC for it to move down a full point with early money on IND...so where does vegas want my money to be on...hmmm

Initially, I was leaning on the colts...

Indy is the hottest team in NFL currently, having won 7 in a row.

Offensively, Manning, Clark, and Wayne can still put up some serious points, even without Harrison playing tonight.

On the side of the ball, return of Saunders should only help the re-energized D.

So why is the line moving in a opposite direction when they are playing the 5-9 Jags?

Thats because this is a division rivary game... set in the city of Jacksonville... on a thur night...

The Jags offensive line know that they can run on this Colts D, and Drew will have a huge nite.

Yes, I know Colts beat the NE and Pitts in that 7 game winning streak..

but their last 5 wins came against teams that have a combined record of 19 - 50..  (det, cin, clev, SD, and houston)

This Jag team is better than their record indicates and they are gonna try to end their last home game with a big bang.

 I like the jags in this spot. Granted they have not played as well as expected this season but they do grind it out on the ground and can play some defense still. I think  indy wins but within the 6 i can see 20-15. Is The home dog trend in force like it was for NCAA on thursday night?

Gotta go with the Colts. Game means more, Jags have to many injuries and are going no where. Will probably be a close game for a half, and then Peyton steps it up. GL to all...

5 or 5.5 is an odd ball number. even buying it up to 6 doesnt entice me. a touchdown game by the colts would have to be matched somewhat by the jags. touches to field goals over 60 minutes will getcha. its less than a touchdown not even 2 scores. ahhhhhhh i'll wait to see what the vets have to say. you know pronk, bya, cj, tonk, goinggone etc....

Good Opinion..but then why would they let you watch NFL network for free on their website? No one has to buy anything to watch this game tonight. its free on www.nfl.com

This is so simple for me, there is too much reading into things on this thread. Jax has averaged 15 points in their last 3 games overall and their last 3 home games. Why would tonight be any different? Indy has only scored over 24 points on the road once this year ( 31, AFTER a bye week). Why would tonight be any different? Keep it simple people, keep it simple!!!!  INDY AND UNDER

Let's look at one statistic -- number of covers posts:

bigdaddyhpd - 5453
Boludojones - 90

It would appear that in a head-to-head matchup, Big Daddy could cover a spread of 5000 without much problem. 

B-jones, I'm sure you're a heckuva guy, but write this down -- bigdaddy's made a lot of people around here some good cake for years now.  I think a little more respect is in order.  And I'm a Python fan too.

That said, I am leaning on Indy here.  I think they have so much more to play for, and have been much more consistent.  The one thing that concerns me is their running game on offense this year.  But I also know that this is a team that knows how to focus on and correct problems -- I think they'll figure it out here and deliver a solid win.  They have not had very many convincing double-digit wins this year, and I think they're due for one.

Still thinking, but for now a solid lean toward Indy -6.5.  Might see if it goes to -6.

First off - yes, I won't argue about the number of posts either of you have, since I just joined this particular site at the end of September. I may be "new" here, but I've been betting (and winning, mind you) at football for many years now - so I'm not "new" in that respect.


Secondly - if you care to review any of my past posts, you'll see that at least I offer valid stats and data to back up my "opinions" on who I feel the better bet would be. I don't just write down "Duh, I'm leaning Colts" and offer no explanation as to why I think that way - like 70% or so of the people in here. It's about "quality" not "quantity" my friend - think about it, would you rather have 90 "Angelina Jolies" or 5,453 "Rosie O'Donnells?. Now, I'm not accusing you or "Big Daddy" of doing this - so please don't take this out of context and start complaining about "lack of respect" again.....


And Lastly - after all of the praise and respect you give to "Big Daddy", and the admonishment and dismissal you gave me - YOU SIDE WITH ME AND TAKE THE COLTS????? Apparently, your not expecting a piece of Big Daddy's "good cake" he's gonna make for you tonight, huh?
