The New York Giants have gone from the team people were calling the team to beat in the NFC to a team who will need to finish strong just to make the playoffs all over the course of two weeks. The Giants lost to two NFC rivals back to back and are now scrambling to find their feet. Eli Manning's fumble proved to be doom for the G-Men against the Eagles but for the season Manning has completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 2,595 yards with 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions while being sacked just 12 times. Ahmad Bradshaw has run for 867 yards and five touchdowns while Brandon Jacobs has rushed for 387 yards and five touchdowns. The Giants have injuries at receiver with Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith both out leaving Mario Manningham as the primary target. New York has been all about defense this season as Terrell Thomas, Antrell Rolle, and Michael Boley lead the team in tackles. Justin Tuck has seven sacks and Osi Umenyiora has eight. Thomas has three interceptions as does Deon Grant with the Giants having 10 as a team. For the season New York is averaging 25.3 points ad 389.6 yards while the defense is allowing 22 points and 282.4 yards per game.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are riding a three game winning streak and are competing in the AFC South, something not too many people expected. After taking a beating in the press last season, David Garrard is putting together a nice year completing 67.8 percent of his passes for 1,694 yards with 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Maurice Jones-Drew has rushed for 878 yards and four touchdowns and Mike Thomas leads in receptions with 46 for 572 yards and three touchdowns. Marcedes Lewis has 35 catches for 445 yards and eight touchdowns and Mike Sims-Walker has 32 catches for 418 yards and four touchdowns. Darryl Smith, Courtney Greene, and Kirk Morrison are teh team leaders in tackles and Terrance Knighton and Aaron Kampman have four and a half and four sacks each. Derek Cox has two interceptions and Jacksonville has nine as a team. For the season Jacksonville has been averaging 22 points and 334.9 yards while the defense is allowing 27 points and 376.8 yards.
New York is 4-9 against the spread when playing a team with a winning record, 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 as a favorite, and 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 home games. Jacksonville is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven home games, and 0-6 against the spread in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record.
New York has the statistical edge in just about every category but with the problems at receiver, it could bring things even in a hurry. I think the Giants defense is good enough on their own to get a win here, I just don't think they cover
Jags +7.5

With the Colonel on this one..Howzit mi amigo??No long time. . All one has to look at is the Jags win over Houston on a hail mary bounced back triple loop side swing dash to win by 7..Huh?..Then if one is not convinced they have 6 turnovers against the Browns at home.and still win by 4...Correct..6 turnovers .What the??..
Somethings gotta give in my opine and its this scoreline..... Have a soft spot for Del Rio and his band of merry men however,I cannot help but seeing his luck run out big time in this spot against a Giants outfit that has been more than hard done by in recent weeks... GIANTS-7 -_ This ones for Mon-E whom I am sure is behind the grassy knoll awaiting the line to bum out..If not I am...
Everything about this game tells me Jags, but this post has a lot of truth to it. I could see the Giants beating the Jags up. I think I'm gonna stay away. Thanks Phinn.

Anyone see when they overturned the call on the first Giants drive? I thought it was an incomplete pass, but the ref came back out from under the hood with his mic on and said "I don't think there is enough to over turn this, man."... then realized his mic was on, turned it off, continued to talk into his headset and then over turned the call... now shouldn't he have made his decision before coming out from under the hood, or is someone on the headset aiding his decision (which I thought was not allowed)??? Seemed shady to me and for the record I have the Giants....
