KC pulled off a big win on MNF in week one and now get the Browns in Cleveland with the Browns as a -2 favorite. So that mean on a nuetral site the books would make KC a -1 fav. I'm not sold on either team but moreso I not sold on giving KC that much respect here. These teams have met 4 times since 2002 and have averaged 68.5 pts combined per game. I don't think we will see that much scoring in this game and the o/u of 38 pts reflects that belief from the linesmakers also. I think the Browns come through at home in a close game and cover the -2 pts.
My Guesstimate - Cleveland-20 Kansas City-17

well, ur guesstimate pretty much sucks cuzz it sounds like a guess. do ur homework, son, and u will learn that KC is a much improved team. how much respect is KC getting by being a pick 'em going to Cleveland? that statement makes absolutely no sense. the browns have been a loser team ever since they've reestablished themselves in Cleveland, and i dont see things changing much for them this year. for starters, they have Jake The Flake Delhomme whose best days are far behind him and who probably wont last all 16 games this year. in fact, i read earlier that he's nursing his ankle already after getting beat in Jacksonville. 2nd: their backfield looks mediocre, whereas KC's backfield looks somewhat explosive. did u not watch how they beat the Chargers last nite? or were u busy watching Jersey Shore or something? because they beat the Chargers with speed. and on both sides of the ball. Rivers looked scared half of the time. and the Chargers running game was ineffective for the most part. now- let's talk about weapons. outside of josh cribbs and massaquoi, they really dont have much going for them. and those 2 guys arent so great. chiefs have an amazing special teams guy in rookie Javier Arenas. proven vets WR Chris Chambers and Dwayne Bowe along with added speed / talent from rookie Dexter McCluster.
Chiefs win this game. The line does not give KC respect. It actually is giving suckass Cleveland too much respect. Approach the Browns with caution this year or u will end up a broke better. And please, if all u can do is guesswork, then save ur witless opinions. this forum is for people who do their homework. now go sharpen ur pencil, son!!!

there's a column in covers about how KC had a 12th man on the field referring to crowd noise. I think they will probably play worse on the road, and the Browns will probably play better at home... just a hunch....
Browns +1 for me..

I'm gonna bet against KC on the road...

not with the three new rookies they have.. the one dude ran for more than 2000 yards in college.. think about it in every game they will score just from their runner backs

Weird line here. KC pretty much dominates SD at home and CLE blows a 14-3 lead on the road in TB and now CLE is a 1 point favorite? I really want to take KC but I want to see Delhomme's status for the game first. If he's playing I like KC. Their front 7 got after Rivers last week and Delhomme doesn't have the elusiveness that Seneca Wallace does to avoid that rush.

Chiefs dominating SD with 68 passing yards. Chargers were terrrible in the red zone. For me this is a tough call on the other hand romeo was the head coach for cleveland and he knows the team pretty well.
If cleveland loses this game they could easily be 0-9 their schedule for the next 7 games are all possible playoff teams. (bal, cinc,Atl,pitts,New orleans,N.E., Nyjets). They have to win this one ,but the familiarity of romeo knowing them well concerns me,its difficult to lean one way or the other on this one.

Actually I was referring to them leading most of the game, holding them to 111 total yards at the half, giving up just 19 yards in the 2nd quarter, dominating the special teams game, and holding them to 4-15 on 3rd downs. The 68 passing yards weren't a big deal because their goal was to not turn the ball over or throw it too much in rainstorm.
I wouldn't worry about Crennel being familiar with this Browns team. Most of the players he coached there in 2008 are gone. Only 11 players remain from Crennel's 2008 team and only 3 of them were starters on offense (Vickers, Thomas, and Steinbach) and 3 on defense (Rogers, Jackson, Wright). The other holdovers are Cribbs, Harrison, Robaire Smith, and kicker Phil Dawson and punter Dave Zastudil.

Chiefs have a great running game, clevland can have a great running game. Why is this spread one? Chiefs looked exelent on the ground but their passing attack is very sketchy matt cassels 10 for 22 with 68 aint going to cut it. So running and special teams basically sums up the whole chiefs win?
Lets come up with some reasons why this spread is only 1 cause that is the questions thats on most peoples mind
Well 1) They had 192 total yards which is not too impressive ( not including special teams which lets face it isn't going to be there every week) they had more return yards then they did total offense!
2) San Deigo shot themselves in the foot in this game, they had a great day on offense passing for 298 and phillip rivers was 22 for 39, fumbles hurt them this chiefs defense let them drive all over them the but SD was 4-15 on 3rd downs which was god awful
3) I like these backs for Clevland. Harrison could put up numbers hes explosive and splitting carries with Hills isn't terrible for him either not having to carry the whole load. I'm not saying i like them better then the Chiefs RB's but they can put up some good numbers
4) Matt Cassell didn't do much till the 4th Q. Heres the chiefs scoring drives 56 yard run by jamal charles, 98 yard punt return dexter mcluster, the other scoring drive they started in the red zone because of a fumble from matthews . Anyone who watched MNF should have seen that 3 plays and SD not playing well should have seen this you guys should look at KC drives before you put this bet in
5) They let San diego right back into the game SD had some great chances they brought they C game
im staying away those are just 4 reasons off the top of my head when i saw this spread

Since you sounded like such a douchebag, I wanted to pull up one of your threads. This is what you said about the Green Bay/Philly game. Not exactly guru material. Real Talk
why is everyone pounding gbay? this is a virtual tossup and i hate to bet against reid at home especially when all the losers pile up $ on the visitor. listen: green bay and philly are nearly even in talent. and stop blogging bullshit about how philly is rebuilding. reid knows darn well what he's doing and has known darn well for 11 years with Philly. wake the fuck up, people!!! the only safe bet here is teasing philly +9 or u can go gusto and take Philly ML which isnt a bad bet at all.
FACTS: Kolb has been with Philly for 3 years so this is no youngster whatsoever. In fact, only offensive starter that is new to the Philly offense is Lesean McCoy and ive got a strange feeling that you'll be hearing his name alot this season. I mean, seriously- when was the last time Philly didnt have an effective running attack? wake up people. Also: defense consists of a great defensive line along with added depth at LB position not to mention a solid secondary. There are 8 starters that have been with Philly for at least 3 years.
Philly is already rebuilt and possibly playoff bound. Dont drink too much of the Green Bay kool-aid. Otherwise, you may be one of the many with GB on a handful of tickets that you'll be wiping ur ass with at the end of the day.....REAL TALK.

Seneca Wallace is getting the start In Cleveland. Jake is out with ankle. Seneca is the best back up out their. I think he shoulda been the starter. I do like what i see in cleveland. big turn around, now they just need to get playing together and get more familiar with each other. tons of talent. The secondary is still young but hungry. If they quit getting beat deep, they might be ok. If mangini would stop being out coached, they would be very good. mangini cannot adjust to a teams second adjustment of the game. He cannot read the other coaches or the play calling Mangini needs to go !!!

If anyone actually watched the SD/KC game you would know that SD (#4 in the league in O now) didn't get "dominated" by KC (#29 in O).
The difference in the game was KC's punt returns. The worst play for SD was a punt. KC punt return squad had more yds that KC got in rushing or passing. KC had 160 yds in punt returns (1 for a TD) which was almost as much as total off yds! And that was only 5 plays!
If you think Dexter McCluster is going to surprise Clev this Sunday then you don't know Brad Seely.
On the other side Clev with Delhomme lost to TB and Josh Freeman (who had a good gm and looks improved over last yr with confidence to throw downfield). Clev had the lead at the half 14-10. Delhomme is on track to maintain his stat of 2 ints for every td like last yr. and threw 2 ints int the gm.
Delhomme hasn't been practicing this week due to ankle injury.
S Wallace and rookie C McCoy are backups. Wallace was the long time backup for Seattle behind Hasselbeck and might be an upgrade over the int prone Delhomme (18 last yr) but he is too short at 5'11 and not so quick as before at 30 yrs old.
So you have last season's #30 and #31 defenses, a 4-12 vs a 5-11, a QB who passed for a league low of 68 yds last week vs an old immobile veteran who threw 2 ints last week, .... hmmm.
Why am I even looking at this game? Arrrgh!
Taking Clev -2
0
KC @ Clev -2 O/U 38
Q: Which team won the gm team X or team Y?
team X had 18 1st downs to team Y's 9
team X had 389 yds Off to team Y's 197
team X had 280 yds passing to team Y's 62
team X ran 70 plays to team Y's 49
team X's QB rating is 98 to team Y's 68
