Houston -5. KC sucks and got exposed for the frauds they are. Houston is ready to rectify their loss from last weeks debacle.
Exposed? They played a good Colts team to a very close game on the road. We all know Cassel is a joke but there defense really proved they can keep this team in any game to me. You wanna talk about being exposed as frauds, look at what an inconsistent Giants squad did to Houston. Embarrassing.
My early lean is to The Chiefs here.

Love, love, love the Texans here. The line is an over-reaction to this past week. The best wr is in football should be back to 100%. The Chiefs suck. Matt Cassell sucks worse and won't be able to capitalize on the Texans awful secondary. Chiefs on back-back road games and a deflating defeat to the Colts. Houstan has the 6th best run-d. Texans coming in after a bad lose. Etc. Etc. Etc.......Did I mention I LOVE the Texans in this spot.

they impressed me during their loss against Indy...
Totally agreed. Chiefs defense was impressive in their road loss. Houston still smarting from the beating they received from the Giants. Houston might rebound, but I feel KC keeps it close.
KANSAS CITY + 4.5

The line for the game is 4.5. The line for the 1st half is 3, which is MORE than half of the game spread. What does that tell me? I want a payday in 30 minutes of football. Reaffirming my selection. Texans-3 1st half.

I wouldn't trust Houston with any amount of points. They'll win a few more games this year, but they suck bad. They can't stop anybody and they're predictable on offense. Houston chokes their season away again.

KC +4.5 (2units): Pittsburgh is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Cleveland Houston is 2-5-1 ATS in its last 8 games at home, Chiefs have fewer penalty yards, fewer turnovers, and twice as good HOG index. My only misgiving is betting Cassell

Finally the Texans meet an offense that eases up on some of their defensive deficiencies. Texans are terrible against the pass, yet the Chiefs are no throwing machine. And KC is vulnerable to the pass on defense. With the Texans winless at home the crowd and players should be jacked up to get the first home win. I don't see the KC pass game efficient enough to continuously expose the Texans like those they've played. Texans get first home win and cover.

Correction...Texans have one win at home vs. Indy. But same logic applies, they've laid two eggs for the home crowd since and will be looking to redeem that for their fans.

like the logic and i agree with it. The chiefs have talent in their secondary, but it is young and undisciplined. Manning had to be terrible last week to keep them in it but second games of road trips can be a bit worse and they have to go play a texans team that will be holding their hide off a bad spanking at home and matt cassel has looked hideous even if you think they have the receivers the giants have. Texans are historically strong at home, and having dropped 2 against NFC east opponents, they will gladly welome the soft hitting AFC west and they should be able to overpower the chiefs.
Another key component for me is that the chiefs are reliant on their strong run game, but houston has a phenomenal run defense led by their talented linebackers who had the run defense at 5th in fewest yards allowed without defensive rookie of the year brian cushing who just came back last week. The secondary won't have to do much if the KC run game doesn't squeak out some good yards and my money's on the houston defense. Either way, the texans offense is WELL equipped for a shootout which will leave the chiefs in the dust as cassel throws the game away.

to those who think the chiefs will win this game... LOLOLOLOLOL
dunno what the outcome will be, but to say KC will control this game is just being ignorant. the texans struggle against physical teams... the chiefs don't fit that bill. dunno what the final score will be, but i do know that the texans do win this game.

I backed out of a 4 teamer last Sunday that would have hit with no problems. Not sure if it will be quite as easy but I'm not gonna let it go to waste this week at least. Houston +8.5/Detroit +23/Denver +16.5/Oakland +20 (-130)
