Damn! I'll be on vacation and this game might actually be on t.v. and it's very rare that my Dolphins were shown on t.v. this season
It was already stated by a couple members already that the Pats have never lost back to back games in ages and this is a big game for both teams.
I stated on the Raider/Dolphin thread that the Dolphins suck on special teams coverage and they showed it once again in the Raider game by allowing a 90 plus yard punt return for a td.
I see the Pats exploiting it again in this game.
On the plus side for my Dolphins the Pats defense are more banged up from the first meeeting and should be able to run but not " surprise " the Pats with some new wrinkles in the wildcat formation. Pennington has shown poise when the Dolphins are trailing but if my Dolphins cannot stop the Pats his poise will mean nothing.
Tough rival game which has a lot riding on it but no matter the outcome win or lose I'm still proud of how far my Dolphins have come from a 1-15 a season ago.

I love the Pats in this spot, but the public is all over NE now. 70%. Something's fishy with this line. Very similar to the Bills/Miami game back in October. Everyone was on the Bills +1 and Miami got the win. I'm staying off the side on this one. May play the under.

I just want to preface this remark by saying, I am a HUGE dolphins fan. But this is by far the most over-rated 6-4 team in the entire NFL. Chad Pennington (aka Noodle Arm) throws 5-6 yd outs every pass play. The defense is weak. The only thing they have going for them is RB and RW (ronnie brown and ricky williams). I dont think they are fooling Bellicik twice. The Patriots are pissed. The Dolphins are not winning their FOURTH straight game. No way in hell. I'm not even sure how the hell they are favored? They almost lost back to back weeks against the awful seahawks and pitiful raiders. This game will be a blow out unfortunately. Cassel will eat up the Miami Secondary.
The only thing that scares me is Joe Public. :( But I don't see Vegas being able to fix this game because Miami is simply over-rated and the Patriots are mad as hell.

this is an easy pick here.. new england because miami almost lost 2 weeks in a row to a team that is under .500 (oakland and seattle.)

That pressure has been creating lots of turnovers this year and we should see a couple more this weekend. The only part of this Dolphin team that scares me is the Special Teams. They give up way too many big plays week in and week out. Nobody thinks the Dolphins are going to fool the Pats again. I don't think they'll try to. They're gonna line up man to man and be physical with them. This is going to be a great game to watch. I'm not saying that the Dolphins will win, but I think its going to be closer than you do. Oh by the way, My Fins are going for win # 5 in a row, not 4.

I think you make a good point with points 2-5. However, in the past two years that New England hasn't lost back to back games......wasn't Tom Brady playing QB then? This isn't the same NE team now and I know it's a big game for both teams but I think if NE gets down early in this game their offense might not be able to get them back in it. I expect to see a lot of Joey Porter all over Cassel all afternoon and Miami hasn't allowed a team to score over 20 points in their 4 game winning streak. I'll take Miami at home! GL
