take the under whatever it is. Jets are a FARCE. SB? jets will struggle just to make the playoffs. Shutdown D, but no offense. none zilch. Mark Sanchez isn't even Trent Dilfer circa Tampa Bay

If it weren't for all the little mistakes, the Jets would have won against the Ravens, who are much better than the Bengals. I hope Brady doesn't get his neck cracked by the Jets defense...

First line I've seen is NE-2 pts here for this game. NE lost 19-6 last season at the Jets with NE as a -3 favorite. Prior to that the Pat's had won the last 8 games at the Jets by the SU and ATS methods. The o/u is set at 39.5 and I think we will see another under here as well. These teams have played so much that there is no need to rehash all the old stuff here for me. Either you like one side to win and cover or you like the other side to do so. will back the QB, Head Coach and organization that has won 3 Super Bowl recently (New England) and not the big mouth, self-appointed champs who looked like chumps after MNF vs Baltimore.
My Guesstimate - New England-20 NYJets-17

I think what you really meant was "If it weren't for all the mistakes the Ravens made, it would have been a 10+ point win for Baltimore, instead of a 1 point win."

The Jets should have got blown out lastnight, the Ravens made to many costly mistakes but still won.. That Jets defense is GOOD but that offense is BAD. No brainer for me to take the team with a "LITTLE" bit of offense.
PATS -1 jets go 0-2 at home.

OK....I usually don't want to put up my thoughts about it, but it only is right when I truly love the lines for this game.
Hate it or love it, I am a Patriots fan ever since I knew football. Call me bias, I could care less. I follow Pats news and watched both Pats and Jets games for wk 1. Yes, I even closely followed the defector, Mangini when he left NE and cried to the NFL that the Pats were cheating. FU Mangini. Look where you are at right now.
For real though, Pats first game of the season tells me that they're trying to revive 2007 when they tore up the NFL with an undefeated season. You may ask, "How so? You're telling me this only after one game?" I say, "FU, believe me, because I do know." Their defense feeds off their offense. The intensity and how focused they were led me to think that I smell a great season coming up. As for the Jets, they were terrible against the Ravens. Come on now, Sanchez couldn't even toss the ball against Ed Reed-less team. As a matter of fact they had the least amount of total passing yards of any team in week 1 with three quarters and a penny.
Enough talk....I will tell you that the Pats will score AT LEAST 24 points. And I feel really confident that they will win by AT LEAST 10 points.
PATS -2 OVER 38

The question is can the Jets score enough points? I think NE is good for 21-24 points. I'm not sure the Jets can score 10. NE dominated Cincy's D last week (ranked #4 in the NFL last year) and pretty much shut down Cincy's offense that entire first half. After that 24-3 halftime lead NE played it safe and pretty much made Cincy throw the entire 2nd half (Palmer had 50 pass attempts). If they can force Sanchez to throw it 25-30 times then this game will be a blowout because it's obvious the Jets don't trust him or just don't let him throw the ball downfield.

Good question. I don't think the Jets are going to score much. However, after making adjustments from wk 1, I do think that they'll do slightly better on offense than they did against the Ravens. They'll make no more than 14-16 points, only because they're at home. Pats are going to roll. Revis on Moss. Who's going to take care of slashing Welker? How about Edelman? Too dynamic (only because of Belichek's game calls).
There's no way the Pats lose, in my opinion. Unless the game is rigged, then I willl be screwed :(

Are you patriot backers for real.... the jets took care of the bungles 2 times last year in two weeks,so the patsies rolled them big freaking deal. Brady will get demolished and the Jets will win 27-10 Sanchez faced the #2 or #1 defense last week. and he controlled himself all be it a boring., but they will open it up and you so called know it alls will lose the pats are #2 in this division behind the JETS....oh beware the Jets will get adalius thomas and or albert haynesworth to replace jenkins.... you heared it here...

The Jets are scoring 27? They only managed that much 4 times last year and one was against the Raiders and the other two were against the Colts and Bengals the last 2 weeks of the regular season when those teams rested their starters most of the game.
And why would the Jets get Adalius Thomas, a linebacker, to replace Jenkins, a nosetackle? And Haynesworth is already unhappy playing in the Redskins 3-4 defense. What makes you think he'd jump at the chance to play in the Jets 3-4? That's a great idea to trade for an unhappy, unmotivated player who just signed a 7-year $100 million contract last year

In 2009 for the 11th gm, Jets @ NE, Pats won 31-14 and scored all of their pts in the 1st H. (Jets scored all their pts in the 2nd H.) Key was Sanchez threw 4 ints, 1 was returned for a TD.
As for Sanchez, it doesn't matter that he is bad. The Jets are a team that relies on the run and their D to win games. They were #1 in rushing yds and #1 in defense last year, and they went to the conf. final.
What Sanchez can't do is throw 20 ints like last yr and he knows it. But from the looks of the 1st gm against the Ravens he is so scared of throwing an int that he only throws to the check down receiver. That might be just as bad because it hamstrings the offense and if the D coordinators pick up a trend, knowing he won't take a chance deep. they will eave the corners 1 on 1, and blitz pressure him hard on passing downs.
Jets new kicker Nick Folk made his FGs vs Ravens but... 2 of them were very very close to the upright. Be careful because the Jets need their FGs to put pt on the board, and he has a bad history last yr.
NE scored easily in the 1st gm on a pretty tough Cinn defense leading the whole way and leading 24 - 3 at the half.
Also Jets are on a short week after playing MNF.
Unless the league pays the Jets back for calling them on 14 penalties totaling 125 yds in the Ravens game,....
Pats will cover the -2

patriots secondary although a little inexperienced showed quite a bit of speed vs the bengals last week. if bb has them prepared like that again you might see another mark make an unscheduled guest qb cameo.
