actually this is an easy game to pick, Patriots all the way, I live here in San Diego, I watch chargers year after year and the failed attempts , Chargers do not have the talent to compete against Patritos, River 0-5 vs Brady in career, Chargers will find a way to screw it up on sunday , and brady coming off a loss doesn't spell good for rivers and company, easy cover for patriots,

I've watched every Patriots- Chargers game in San Diego the past 10 years and every game was close except in 2008 when Matt Cassel started for the injured Brady and lost 30-10, This game has every reason to go over the total 51 and end up being a FG game. Take the Chargers +3.5 at home with every screaming drunken Charger fan giving Brady fits. Upset Alert ! Chargers Win !
My wife's Brady jersey will be hidden again under her jacket. Bahahahaha! Party at Junior Seau's restaurant afterwards boys !

Dear Santa- All I want for Xmas is a Charger win! Hate the Pats but mad respect, I don't know how they do it.
You look at this game closely, objectively and you realize the word crapshoot is an understatement. Full on parity. Pretty much the Chargers fans and Patriot haters will like SD and everyone else will go with statistics. I'll tell you what- this is a game that you throw all the numbers out. Who want's it more? Emotions will be the main factor so thank God its in San Diego. No love for the Patriots here and the crowd will be jacked. However I'm going to throw SD in a little parlay and that's it. This is a big game for us, biggest of the year. You know as I have been babbling on I just realized something...SD is going to rout them! Look at my handle- are you surprised?
There is one thing I'm sure of- take the over!!!!

Z-money spits fire I love it...guys I live in boston I am NOT one of the famously annoying hard core pats fan who thinks pats can do no wrong & never question Bill Bs decisions & mistake his huuuge ego for genius...having said all that brady & bill always give us a chance. but I'm not a blind fan....brady almost always struggles on the road...vs any team, let alone a decent AFC team that we have some history with (specifically rivers) who I hated for years but now respect the hell out of him, especially after playing us in Foxboro for AFC champ game on a torn ACL. SD is an underrated team with great leaders & a QB with huge balls & always plays the pats tough, hes fearless & plays the pats with a chip on his shoulder. then add in the current situation for the pats, back to back road games, brady sucked in the GB game & the final score didn't tell the whole story. we should have lost by much more, GB dominated us. BB has a great record after a loss historically but this is a tough situation, eddelman is going to be limited with that upper thigh injury we saw him sustain in the GB game in which he he took himself out of the game & returned for just one play. my bookie has this game at -4.5 probly cause I'm in boston & the blind homers will be all over the pats, I know better. I'm taking SD +4.5 the pats will probly win but not by a TD, I'm thinking a field goal decides this game either way, this goes to the wire. I know we have NOT a great secondary but one great corner who makes browner & the secondary players better, BB doesn't let revis match up man to man every play & even if he did let him man up keenan allen & shut him down gates has always been a matchup nightmare for us & gates will have a huge game unless BB has browner shadow him all day & gates will probly still gash us. pats are gonna run heavy instead of depending on bradys crappy road play. BOL fellas

The Patriots very good pass game (averaging 271 yards at 6.8 yps against teams that allow 230 yards at 6.1 yps) should have their way against a San Diego secondary that is allowing 6.2 yps against teams that gain 5.9 yps. If San Diego can’t pressure Brady (29th in sacks), the Chargers will simply have to outscore New England and I don’t think they’ll be able to do that as Patriot cornerbacks Revis and Browner match up well with the Chargers receivers. In addition, San Diego may be starting their 5th center in this game if rookie Chris Watt can’t make it back from injury and right tackle DJ Fluker is looking questionable as well. Those losses won’t help a run game that has not been good this season (averaging 87 yards at 3.5 ypr against teams that allow 106 yards at 4.1 ypr). That’s enough to have me consider New England here.
Patriots minus 3.5.

Liking the Pats here. The fact that New England flew directly to San Diego from Green Bay and have been practicing on the west coast all week negates a lot of the coast to coast travel advantage. San Diego has not had much of a pass rush lately and I don't see the secondary with a lot of success covering New England's receivers. Pats didn't get much pressure on Rodgers last week as well. But the Chargers have a weak running game and injuries on the offensive line and I can see a little more success for the Pats this week against Rivers. Both teams have been strong finishers when it comes to the regular season. Rivers for his career is 30-6 SU in the month of December. Belichick and Brady are 21-9 ATS when laying 6.5 or less in the month of December. The one thing that sort of tips the scales for me is this. Under Belichick the Pats are 30-10 ATS coming off a loss. Man that's 75%. Hate laying the road chalk especially the half a point hook but in this case I'll take the chance. NE -3.5 GLTA!
