Absolute must win for the Saints here. I see  this being a QB battle. Both teams are hurting and i think they know whats at stake here.

FYI: New Orleans has won the last three at Atlanta, each by three points.

I see this coming down to last posession and fg win.

    taking Saints here.

    good luck 2 all

I don't think either defense is very good at all. I watched josh freeman carve this atlanta secondary up like john madden carving a thanksgiving turkey last week. Obviously given the total the oddsmakers expect a shootout. I hate the saints defense, and they've burned me on two bets already this year, but trying to stay unemotional i can get them at +4 playing in a dome against a team with a pretty lousy defense. Ill take it apprehensively.

UNDER!  This total is way to high for Thursday night.  I had this at 45.5 before the line came out, now I'm getting 10 more points! HUGE play on UNDER!  No sweating during this one won't even come close!

So obvious.. Both teams have great offense but Atlanta has much better defense.  If Ryan doesn't turnover, Falcons win by at least TD.

In his last 3 home games against the Raiders, Cowboys and Cardinals, Ryan has thrown 1 TD and 8 INT's.  It's amazing that they won all 3 of those games.  On a short week I don't know that I trust him.  Just something to think about.  Kind of leaning NO with points but might be sitting this one out.  GLTA.

Everybody says the Falcons play so good at home. Really? Yes they are 5-0 but every one of those wins was pretty damn close. To lesser competition except for Denver. The biggest margin of victory came against the Broncos (6). If Falcons don't convert that last first down I'm convinced Manning would have drove down and won the game even with 5 ints or whatever he had. Dallas couldn't put it in the end zone. Cam being Cam and finding away to lose another game for his team. Cardinals out played them for 3.5 quarters. Raiders kept it close the whole game. Bad teams find ways to lose games. Saints have a bad D but are not a bad team. This game will be close and come down to the final possession. If anybody has noticed most of the games in this division go down to the wire

Saints + whatever the spread is

Falcons are the better team, despite what some think... and playing at home in a key game on primetime... they will show it... Saints have too many weaknesses...

As far as the game tonight....don't have a feel either way, so i will watch and study while I watch the Cats beat up on notre dame!  Good luck to everyone!

bookies are more reliable then online sports books. I live in PA and got burned for a grand with betonline.  they refused to payout and kept giving excuses and finally stopped responding.  I made the deposit, met the rollover requirement, won my bets and ended up losing my deposit because they wont pay out.  I have heard that sportsbook is just as bad when paying out.  .

You gotta be ballsy to bet on Matt Ryan's fifth ever loss at the Georgia Dome (in the regular season)! The Falcon's past two losses to the Saints have been due to Turner's inability to convert 1 yard (i.e., this season to score and last season to convert on 4th deep in our own territory at the end of the game).

ATL wins here, but I'm also waiting for the -3 line as Atlanta does play teams close. They're very good at burning clock.

Although I'm not basing my decision on this, you have to know what Vegas is thinking when 60+% consensus is betting on the +3.5 and they haven't dropped it to +3. My book has -3 at -135 right now! I really hope I don't have to buy that.

       From Aints to  $aints

    Data Cappers beware,
Especially   type proving futility at its best.
    Results speak for themselves.
IMO in tonight's matchup ,motivational factors take priority over past numbered stats . FACT : Falcs going through cool down period after blistering start.
FACT : Saints are playing better ball ,systems go,ever more closer to Last years caliber of play.
More importantly Saints allowed season low 375 tards 2 TD's to Frisco team that in mine opine  will be one of three top teams to take Lombardi trophy.
Saints D stock is on the rise ,not so for Falcons D.
Too little ,too late likely for BayouVille but after being egged at airport  by Atlanta Airport employees and every game having playoff elimination type implications , one can bet familiarity factor will aid Saints D in containing Matty Ice down to 2 TD's and better over all play with Brees making amends for INT Frisco fiasco.
If I had to bet this game, Saints Moneyline @ 2-1 is value's way along with the under.
As posted , been hitting $$$ Nuggets lately,
9 - 1 Hit two weeks ago and 4-1 nugget via Browns win between 1-6 pt$.
Sense I'm due for a cool down like all good thing$ do.
Anyone can win this game via last minute Gunslingin' Bomb.
Better games, ML Parlays on the Horizon IMO.
Degens we are... WTF small play on $aints ML and UNDER.

Sammy Ace and Doc like the Falcons. I really really hate to go against these guys. They are money.
No disrespect but I usually fade Vue, and he likes The Sanits as well.
Liked the Chiefs and the Giants last week along with the Doc and Sammy and I won.
I'll stick with the Saints though 3 unit play, if I win, I get money and if I lose I get to laugh at myself for going against Doc and Sammy.. so it's win/win for me!

This should be a fun game to watch. The Saints team bus got egged at the Atlanta airport by airport employees. https://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8689695/new-orleans-saints-say-bus-egged-atlanta-airport.

This might just start another bountygate going

Surely you're not trying  to compare the Bucs with the 49ers are you? Hell the two teams are "solar systems" apart. Inotherwords, lossing to a vastly superior team is no  great shame, and a 1 point victory over a nobody team is no big deal at all. Some teams just have the other guys number. San Fran quickly dispenced with NO if last years playoff, and the Saints have had Atlanta's MO for years! Hard to escape your past!

    New Orleans + 3.5

Once again, a well-written analysis by Sammy Ace.  I'm really shocked that Vue has some reasoning behind his pick though.  Baffled.  Sure wish he'd stop referencing his "database" though.  Give that nonsense a rest.

I don't think Sammy was comparing the Bucs to 49ers at all, Vue.  And for you to say that those 2 teams are "solar systems" apart, well that's just going too far especially when those who understand the NFL will agree that the level of competition nowadays is mediocre.  There are no powerhouses.  Oh and by the way, the Bucs team is same team that nearly beat Super Bowl Champs in their own house.  You know - the Giants - the same team that DESTROYED the 49ers.  So it's really not a matter of comparing teams on a talent level as much as it is on a "situational" level which is what Sammy aims to do in most of his posts.

Hopefully, some of that made sense to you Vue.  and hopefully, u clear your head of all those stats in your "database".  hahahahaha

Bet Atlanta.  Saints are done for the year.

Mr. Vue, almost didn't recognize you w that new icon. I'm not belittling the saints at all. In fact, I picked them to end the Falcons undefeated season 3 weeks ago. I respect this team even though they lost at home to the Chiefs earlier this year.

The point I was trying to make is that there are certain teams in the NFL (i.e. the 49ers and Steelers) that have very physical offensive lines, and have front-7's that play at a different level of intensity than most NFL teams. I imagine the Saints have a little more bumps and bruises than usual and now they have to head out to Atlanta on short rest and play the Falcons where Matt Ryan is 31-4.  Its not a very strong angle, but I just don't think the Saints have what it takes to win this game.

Its been a roller coaster of a season for them.  Losing their coach, the whole scandal with Vilma and other players,  and the slow 0-4 start. It took one hell of an effort for them to get back to .500, and then they just lost a must win home game against a very physical 49er team. Now its back to the drawing board where they hope they can get back to .500 again versus an Atlanta team that wants to avenge their previous loss, clinch their division championship, and take one step closer to home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Not to mention, its a prime time game and the Falcons have not had a statement win at home yet (every game decided won by one score or less). Who better to make this statement with than against their division rival Saints who are sporting a 4 game winning streak against them?

My prediction is that the Falcons have a major statement game and crush the playoff hopes of their division rival at the same time.

Good luck and feel free to fade me. Everyone has made valid points on the Saints and the underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7.
