Yeah - Ravens at home are completely different than on the road. At 4-6 they're still right in the thick of it for that last wildcard spot. But, I guess so are the Jets? Nah, F-it - Baltimore covers.....

Yup, at first glace it looks like Ravens would be the play...they are almost unbeatable at home but look a little bit closer and you'll see that the Jets are the best play here. This could be an upset game for the Jets.

Jets alternate wins, and Ravens average about 20 points a game at home. All those saying Jets have no chance to cover is like saying that the Jets cannot possibly score 16 pts. 

The Jets can get to 16 pts here.

That's what I thought at first too....but I wondered why all the experts were on the Over? Literally 100% of the experts are picking this game to go over. So I checked the past results of these teams this year and just about all of their games have went over this total. So, now I can see why.

I think this will go to at least 37 points. What is your reasoning for thinking it won't hit 30? Baltimore is consistent with getting 20 points at home and the Jets should have a decent game and put up at least 20 as well.

Thanks for your advice. But even if Jets cant run the ball on them, Baltimore STILL rarely gets above 20 pts a game, so how are they going to "slaughter" them? 

Can you post your final score prediction here?

The Jets might get their passing game going. You never know. I still think it will be close but I'd like to know your final score prediction so I can see how accurate you are with this "slaughter" prediction

Ok BreakAbook, if I dont hear back from you by tomorrow I'll just leave Jets off my ticket. I'm gonna be mad that I came back and looked at this thread though if they end up covering. It's gonna cost me $750.

But if you're right and you saved me azz then thank you very much. (Either way I do appreciate your advice or I wouldn't even be listening to you.) It's just that the Jets are one of those unpredictable teams. What if they are due to break this pattern streak of W,L,W,L,W,L etc

Either way I know for certain that I am staying away from Baltimore. Possible trap this week.

Like I said I'm a huge jets fan.... But on the road we have played terrible.... Also 0-2 vs AFC north...

jets have really only had success in the passing game when they are able to run and PA off the run.... Geno has been awful in the shotgun...

I expect defensive points from Baltimore.... That stadium is real loud and Geno will have problems.... Baltimore is a different team at home...

on the otherwise of the ball the balt offensive has gotten going and rice looked at healthy as he has all year last week.... They won't be able to gash the jets defense but that's not the mismatch.... Flacco and the passing game vs the jets who have been uncharacteristically horrible vs the pass recently.... Cro struggles vs wr who are speed downfield threats ie Torrey smith...

also, the loss of kerley is killing the jets offense esp on 3rd down.... Holmes vs Webb is not a good match at all....

this game is gonna look like the games vs Tenn and cincy... Both on the road, both ugly.... I expect turnovers from Geno....

 

30-9 jets don't even get in the endzone....

the jets d might play well but with the field position and TOP they will be exposed....

its gonna get ugly gentlemen..... Ugly

I don't trust either team jets can't win on the road an BLT lose a lot since last yr. can't trust theses teams but if I had to pick one home team for me

Baltimore has only 1 home loss...

that was against GB who was at the time considered an elite team....

they last beat cincy at home while at home....

 

jets have 0 chance at covering.... I'd lay up to a td with Baltimore....

Gonna have to go with the more desperate team here. Baltimore knows if they lose this then their season is just about over and a win will give them momentum heading into a short week against the Steelers.. but that half point hook scares me a little as they been playing close ugly down to the wire games lately.

Just will have to trust my gut on this one and take Balt. It'll be somewhat close then the Ravens will capitalize on some turnovers down the stretch. It'll probably take a Geno Smith buttfumble to give the Ravens a win and cover.

maybe the hardest team to get a read on are the jets , look good one week , and blown out by buffalo the next , Im gonna play the angle that rex ryan has these guys show up this week and at worst keep it very tight , Baltimore just does not impress me I don't care if theyre at home are not , Ray Rice has disappeared this year and this team does not resemble last years super bowl team , both teams are equally desperate , if the ravens cover they will just cover no blowout of the jets this week , gang green show up in this one .
