NY Giants are clearly the better team. Giants are on a roll right now....which means they may be due for a let down. maybe not a loss, but maybe not to cover.
Take the over and just sleep on it. -9 is a lot of points...even if it is the lowly Browns against the mightly Giants.

No don't do it! Didn't you learn anything about going against the New York Football Giants?
Yes I did. But this is Monday night and the home dog has 10 points to work with and a week to prepare a game plan without any travel involved. That's got to be good for something, right? Donte Stallworth will be back. I don't know. Maybe a switch at quarterback would do the trick...Anderson may not make it through the 2nd quarter before he gets the hook.
And with that we conclude our interview with Watch, who apparently is in desperate need to have his head checked.

Oooooooooooooooh. Dontae Stallworth. Ooooooooooooooooh. He might be back to single-handedly beat the Giants. Oooooooooooooh. He's sooooooooooo scary. Just like Plaxico Burress was out and the Giants would fall apart vs. Seattle.

A definate must win for the Browns to even have a chance to salvage their season. I'll take my chances and roll with the home team dog on Monday night. Two weeks rest and hey, maybe Edwards & Co. have figured out those things called hands are actually used to CATCH the ball

They won't be salvaging their season, but I expect a motivated effort from them coming off the bye. Probably has to be the home dog or nothing here. I think a score of 27-20 Giants is much more likely then 35-3. I won't play this one, but GL on your bet

Giants beat Giants and Cleveland wins monday nite !!!
Despite Winslow's secret STD I feel that 9 is alot to give a team off a bye on home on MNF.
These guys will be motivated to beat the Super Bowl Champs(last week I called them Chumps- little respect) on national TV. Look for an enthused CLE defense to keep them in the game and some NYG mistakes to let them win it possibly. It is the NFL after all. CLE and initail lean on the Under for the first one on MNF this year.

Why is the spread getting smaller. Down from 9 to 8 or 7.5 at some books? Makes no sense unless the books really think the Browns are gonna cover.
To me I can see 2 outcomes, either a blow out by the Giants in which even teasing the Browns would result in a loss... or a a close game in which you would want the points but the Browns will have a tough time hanging on. No chance for a Browns blowout.
Teasing Giants and over would make it Giants -2 and Over 37.5. This seems highly likely. I dont see how the Giants will score less than 24. Jacobs is gonna run over the soft Browns D.

Let me give my two cents on this game being from Cleveland and a Browns fan. I liked the Browns earlier in the week and especially when the line stayed the course. But now with Winslow more than likely being out and Shaun Smith being downgraded to doubtful, I will just play the over in this game. The Browns D-Line is all banged up with both Smiths (Shaun and RoBaire) being out and our starting safety Sean Jones may play but will be limited.
On offense Heiden will fill in for K2 and even though K2 is the far better receiver, Heiden is a very good blocker and might work to the Browns advantage in the run game. Ryan Tucker (RT) will be making his first start of the year and this guy is our glue that holds the line together. I'm sure he'll be rusty a little but he's solid as it gets.
It will all come down to a few things: Field position for the Browns (Cribbs) and DA being able to make some throws downfield and not making dumb mistakes. If he does that early then the Giants will cruise to a victory. If the Browns come out and get the ground game going which will open up the air game then they can make a game of it.
Defensively for the Browns, if I'm the Giants I pound the ball and wear down the depleted D-Line. After Shaun Rogers and Corey Williams, its a makeshift d-Line. Once that happens then the Browns are on their heals and Manning will have a field day going downfield........
I'm hoping my Browns come out like a bunch of wild dawgs and get the Giants playing from behind. I see a Giants win if the above scenerios don't pan out for the Browns---GMen 31 Browns 17

Yup, kind of like how my weekend went like this:
Stanford win, Texas ml win, Iowa win, Wisconsin ml loss, Georgia 1st half win, Miss St. win, Oregon 1st half win, Florida win, Colts 1st half win, Atlanta win Tampa Bay win, Jax win, Seattle loss.
All of those picks were posted as well. Went to your page and saw that you haven't posted a pick in quite some time. What I see is this: You are doing a great job of analyzing the information of others and selling Mr. Smith's book. However you are not putting up any picks and putting your credibility on the line. I understand...
Once again, I am taking the Browns +9 with Dontae Stallworth and no Winslow, and letting the chips fall where they may, peppy222. Who do you like for the game?
