Does anyone get the feeling the Broncos are getting a little tired of losing? 6.5 is a lot of pts for a live, pissed-off dog at home on Thanksgiving getting no respect. It's not like they have no talent. The Giants may have finally righted the ship Sunday but their defense was less than stellar 2H against a descent offense.

It's early but I'm looking to tease the Broncos with Green Bay. Got to count on the Lions to go back to their losing ways.

O do we dare tease Dallas (-13.5) at home with the upstart "new' QB Bruce at the helm for the Raiders?  I would think Dallas could cover a TD at home on Turkey Day bringing Oakland down to Earth, but which team shows up? Dallas nearly just had two straight losses and this is home-cooking. T-Day home-cooking to be exact and ya got the feeling they are due for a good game and Oakland for a reality check. Still I'm not paying that high Cowboy tax!

    Thoughts anyone?

One more thought, I was riding Denver (who I hate being an AFC North fan) almost every game up until their first loss....had to lay off them at Baltimore. I had to lay off them in San Diego on MNF and ever since. However, this is the NFL and their 4th straight loss. Is Orton going to start after sitting and have a redemption game in front of the homies? They may not win SU, but an embarrassed team (albeit against the stud Rivers) should play 60 minutes of defense like they had all 6 games up until their bye. Remember, they beat Dallas, NE and San Diego to finish that 6 game streak.

There is a reason the line is less than a TD here. The Giants travel 2 time zones on a short week while the Broncos played at home and are just waiting in the thin air to play the last game of the day when dinner is over and most have Friday off.  I think the line will go down with the sharps unless the public overeacts to the recent trend to keep it steady or even rise. The defense knows the game rest of them and will swarm Manning.

Grab the pts or play it safe and tease +13.5 with the Packers. No line yet on the Pack but take it...heh heh!  Their egg was laid in Tampa Bay where they always have trouble, not in Detroit. GB has won the last 9 of 10 meetings and 6 of 10 ATS even with the huge lines.

This is completely my own thoughts and I understand it's risky to try to time the Broncos, but I'll take 13.5 at home on a short week in mile high with the highly motivated Broncos and the Pack teased under a TD against the Lions anyday. I'm going to predict the Pack will be favored by 11...hope it's 9 to make it under a FG teased.  BOL

To be a little clearer, it will be 10:20PM at kickoff for the Giants on a short week after a barnburner with the Falcons. The 2H will start after midnight for them. I don't care how much they try to adjust this week, mistakes in judgement will occur in this thin air with a raucous crowd.

I too am looking at Denver with the points at home.  Giints may win it but Denver should keep it close.

No way would I tease them with Dallas.  If anything, with Oakland +20, but probably not them either.   I'll look a little closer at teasing them with TA&M +28 at home.

Gotta love Denver in this spot. Denver has gone from underrated, to overrated, and are back to be underrated. The whole home thing, off of a short week is a good angle to take. I like the Broncos in an underdog role and who are the Giants to be favored by a td?

Uh-oh, the "L" word has surfaced.  Give me the Giants -6.5.  I have little faith in Kyle Orton and even less in Chris Simms.  Close cover, something like G-Men 27 Broncos 20.

Just think - last week if Knowshon doesn't fumble on the 1 inch line, how different would that game have been, huh? and that was an offensive powerhouse Charger team. No brainer, take the home dogs...........

Giants should be giving anyone 7 pts.

However, with the Broncos havong to start Chris Sims, anything is possible.

Jacobs left last sunday's game early. Over all the Giants running atack has been attrocious over the last 5 games. Coughlin is far too conservative offensively.

Denver is at home and while I don;t think they will win SU, Den will cover the TD.

NYG -7: the Broncos are on the skids; while i like home dogs, Orton seems banged up and a short week does not bode well for him, even with a home crowd, i'll lay the points. Score: Giants 28-Broncos 18 (2 units).

I love this parlay... Playing $2/$12

    Lions +11, Cowboys -13.5, & Broncos +7

Call it a hunch, but I think the Cowboys are the only favorite that covers Thanksgiving. I live in Dallas and yes I am a fan of Dallas, but I am a much bigger fan of money.

Vegas sets a line based on trends/consensus, among other things. What is the most watched day in FOOTBALL, minus the superbowl? Thanksgiving... Everyone and their brother/uncle/aunt/etc.. will be putting a little $$ on the games, so the only thing left to do is go against the grain.

Dallas- Cowboys score 7 against Washington, Oakland beats the Bengals. The perfect lead into Thursday's game... Hence, the line is set at 13.5. (Makes you second guess those Cowboys, right?)

Detroit- Greenbay plays well enough to win at home against the 49ers and the Lions win by a point against the browns at home. Greenbay shoulda, woulda, coulda beat the Lions on Thanksgiving, but the Packers will have a short fall and the Lions will play like there is no tomorrow, with or without Stafford. (I'd almost rather have Culpepper, with my play)

Denver- Broncos have fallen off the map. Giants had fallen off the map until they beat Atlanta in OT. (Not saying Atlanta is some super team, but had the Giants lost to Atlanta off a bye, WOW) Broncos got murdered at home against a solid AFC opponent. It seems like the Broncos have lost their home field advantage, Pittsburgh & now SD?? Now a falsely lifted Giants team comes strolling in to take it's turn at the fallen Broncos. The Broncos will tighten up this game and may win outright. Eli vs. Broncos secondary makes for a looooooong plane ride home for Eli. (Just saying)

I'm not posting this on all three threads to waste space. Just my take on how things will pan out this Thursday. Put a small play on the parlay and you might be suprised.

Just a shot in the dark...

    Lions 24/Packers 28 * Cowboys 27/Raiders 10 * Broncos 20/Giants 17

    Good Luck to All....

Have you been watching the Cowbillies the last 2 weeks? Their #1 receiver, Witten, has a bum foot, Williams can't catch and most of the time you don't know where he's going and Austin caught what 8 balls in last 2 games?

BTW, the Raiders have never loss in Dallas. Both are even on spread covers. How many turnovers will Romo have? If Redskins had a kicker they would have won, the Raiders have a kicker, take the points.

BTW, the Raiders have never loss in Dallas. Both are even on spread covers. How many turnovers will Romo have? If Redskins had a kicker they would have won, the Raiders have a kicker, take the points.

Good Lord Spytheweb - so many things wrong with your "statistics", it's almost embarrassing..... Where do I start? O.K. here we go......
First off, you're in the Denver / New York thread, c'mon man, at least keep your Dallas hatred in it's proper place.
Secondly, Witten is just fine - isn't everybody a little banged up by this time of the year? "bum foot", HA!!!! he looked fine to me last game - just wasn't used that much.....
Thirdly, allright, I'll give you the Williams thing, he can't catch for SH**!!!!!!!!!
Fourthly, the Raiders have never lost in Dallas, you're correct, but, they've never lost there, because they've NEVER PLAYED THERE!!!!!!!!!!! We're talkin' a new stadium baby, new rules, new attitudes, kind of takes away the mystique (and the record) of the other one now doesn't it?
Fifthly, how many turnovers will Romo have? I don't know, he's got 15 TD's and 7 int's on the season - so using that math, he'll probably have 1.5 TD's and 0 int's............ Now, how many will Gradkowski have? We'll, since he's got 2 TD's and 3 int's in what, 1 game? 1.5 games?, he'll probably throw .5 a touchdown, and 2 picks - so do your math.........
Lastly, the Redskins do have a kicker, he's actually a pretty decent one, but the fact is they lost last week, got it Spytheweb, Redskins  LOST - DALLAS WON!!!!!!!!! I knew they weren't going to cover, but Dallas won the game............ ARE YOU FEELING ME!!!!!!!!!!

WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE 7-3 NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! DIVISION LEADERS!!!!!!!!!! WINNERS THROUGH AND THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and after they play this "tomato can" known as the Raiders this week, they'll be 8-3.............
I know this has to be eating you up inside, gnawing at your very soul.........feel the burn Spytheweb, feel it in the pit of your stomach like a flesh - eating bacteria.........
