I have a question for you smart guys/girls......could the Lions have put Megatron back by the goal post to swat away the 61 yard field goal or is that now illegal..he was swatting many other balls on Monday!

If Schwartz is still coaching the Lions and Romo 2.0 is the Lions QB then I expect the Giants to win. Schwartz & Linehan are easily the worst coaching duo in the NFL.

The lions are fade material but not as much as Giants. Eli and company are now my number one fade team in the NFL now that Cousins is QB for redskins. I think it is legal to swat the field goal

In the past 2 weeks, the New York Giants have looked like one of the worst teams in the NFL. Their defense has been porous and Eli has looked absolutely lost. The Giants weren't that good with Pierre Paul and Victor Cruz in the lineup. Now with both those guys out, and the season pretty much over, what will be the Giants motivation here? To maintain the integrity of the game? To play for Coach Coughlin's job? We all know that's not in jeopardy. I think this season couldn't end fast enough for the Giants, and they will be going through the motions in the next couple weeks.
Meanwhile, we have Detroit in a great bounce back situation. They have lost 2 straight and they are hanging on to their playoff lives by a thread. And their coach is also hanging on to his job by a thread. And I've noticed a very interesting trend with these Lions. First, they haven't lost 3 consecutive games all season. And second, they have covered the spread in 6 of their 7 wins this year, winning by an average of 10 points a game. So when the Lions win, it has usually been by double digits.
I expect this time around will be little different, and I see no reason why Eli and the Giants will give a good effort here. But I see every reason why Detroit will empty the tank and do everything they can to win this one.
So I am recommending a play against my sorry New York Football Giants.
Lions in a comfortable win.

What's the over/under on total INT's thrown by both of these "Pick Machines"? 10, maybe 15???
I took Detroit M/L on one of my cards, just because I can't see the G'Aints doing anything - especially with no Cruz, no rushers, and Fairley & Suh chasing Eli all over the field. My only hope is that Stafford isn't "outpicked" by Eli......
Good Luck All

Sammy has some good points here and it seems as though Vegas is begging you to take Giants. Lions have to cover one of these weeks! With that being said...It's time to fade my Lions. Jumping off the band wagon. Give me the Giants @ +10.. Eleven would be just swell but I'm stuck playing those old shop tickets. lol
GL everyone and Merry Christmas!!!

It's actually against the rules to "block the shot" so to speak. If it lands short, anything goes but you can't put 7' ringers out there to block FGs at the goal post.

I've been following Sammy's posts for a few weeks and he seems to have the best info going so based on that, and how I can't see howany NFL team can ever get shut out in their own building (SEA@NYG) I'm taking the Lions.

Should be lots of scoring in the contest. As far as a winner goes it appears the LIONS are shoed in to win. I don't think so, this is where the underdog of the week comes from. Yes Eli "little" Manning gets his SH/T together for a change and restores some much needed faith in his fans. Touching isn't it ???
