New York at Indianapolis (01/08/2011)

at first, my kneejerk reaction was to bet Jets as an underdog.  but then after giving it much study / though, there's no way I'm passing up Colts at a nice price at home.  Even though I hate Peyton Manning, betting against him is another matter altogether.  You better be damned sure you're backing a squad that can defend the pass.  And even with that on your side, there's nothing you can do about the way Peyton manages a game.  I've seen a number of teams light up Jets secondary this season, including my dreadful Phins, and I see no difference in this matchup unless they break Peyton's leg or something.

I also see Colts being able to run the ball with Donald Brown effectively should they choose to do so.  And the Colts still have a good defense.  Especially at home.  Same defense that SHUT OUT this Jets team for the entire 2nd half of last year's playoff game.

      I see Peyton going to the well one too many times. Colts been barely getting by; limping into playoffs. Team has been riding Mannings' jock. I see an early exit, as Jets win SU by a FG.

THE OBVIOUS ANGLE is Peyton vs Sanchez- can't be that easy. Jets have the advantage in every other aspect of this game.  DEFENSE, OLINE, RUNNING GAME, SPECIAL TEAMS, BETTER WR CORE*ONLY BC OF INDY INJURIES* and I can just see Rex pulling a Dave Wanstadt and run, run, run, run, run with that beastly OLINE and keeping the ball away from Peyton.

I feel that the Colts start off strong and early in this one..I'm hoping even with all the injuries on the Colts side they come out with the better gameplan in this match up...
