I'm going with the Jets -3. Brett Favre is going to rejuvenate this offense. Not a big believer of Chad Pennington. I think the Jets knows him better than anyone and will run the right defensive schemes at him Thomas Jones did pretty well last year against Miami sorry rushing D. They may improve but it won't be enough to contain him.
If you're a trend player, Jets are 19-4-2 ATS in their past meetings with Miami.
Who the fuck cares about Vegas lines not moving in this game? It's the first damn week of the season. It's been this way for years. If they see something, the oddsmakers will adjust in the upcoming weeks. Oddsmakers have been known to put up weak lines for the first weeks. Go with your guts. You read too much into a line movement, you will get fucked in the long run. Yeah, sometimes fading the public or going against a line movement will work but at the end of the season, you will not end in the black.

man there sure are alot of "squares" out there....
This line has been set at NYJ -3, and despite the public pounding the Jets. Vegas hasn't adjusted the line... not even by 1/2 a point. It's as if Vegas is saying "you wanna bet on the jets? keep on comin"
Simple question, if the public is pounding the Jets to the tune of 75% of the money. Who do you really think is going to lose? Vegas... or the Public?
HMMMMMM
Dolphins are the pick here
So let me get this straight. Vegas is always right and you have access to the bet statistics on all the books.

Like usual being a Dolphin fan I rarely wager on their games due to it might be my heart thinking instead of the stats.
Few months ago this was just another game but with the transaction of Favre to the Jets and Pennington to the Dolphins this game has become a marque match up.
My Dolphins been moving a lot of players on the depth chart, starters have been unseated by rookies on offense and defense. Since the arrival of Pennington the Dolphins have seem to be moving in the right direction. Chad has brought a positive feeling back in Miami and the players actually believe we can go far this season.
Ricky & Ronnie is back at full strength and the 2 headed monster running attack should open up the passing game for Pennington & Co. My homeboy Devone Bess has earned a spot on the Dolphins roster this season due to his great hands. He might just surprise these Jets defense in this one.
Being a longtime Dolphin fan I can't believe I'm actually cheering for Pennington to win this game. I still need to get used to him being in Miami as a player and not a foe. He lacks the arm for the long bombs but he still shows that he is just as accurate from his playing days in New York.
Kinda scared of our defense due to the transition of Matt Roth from DE to SLB. Our Db's show promise but it will be a tough test for them in this game against Favre.
Not touching this one but good luck to all of you that do

Jets vs. Dolphins under 36.5 (2 units) - my first total of the season is gonna be an under. I can see a lot of turnovers here with Brett Favre and Chad Pennington. Hanging Chad is gonna be pumped to play against his old team but who can he throw to? The only WR that comes to mind is Ginn Jr., other than that I have no idea who else he has other than Ricky Bobby and Running Ronnie.

Two weeks agao, I accidently played under 36 on this game thinking that I was betting the under in the Fins vs. Chiefs preseason game. Must have been the Bacardi
Anyhoo, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Under 36

Vegas lets the public win, especially in big games like this, early in the season so they keep pouring their favorite loving donkey money in th rest of the year...so real cappers like us need to ride with the publicj before going contrarian and make this easy early season money to pad our bankrolls....J-E-T-S are the play here!....not to mention the fact that brett the jet wants to prove he can still play and hes going up against a miami defense that helped them go 1-15 last year...last time i checked parcells isnt playing!
