Jets @ Miami -2 O/U 36
19-17 to hit the odds
I just love this Jets team! They have a pot smoking Santonio Holmes suspended for 4 gms so they fill his spot with a drunk driving Braylon Edwards and in the meantime they sexually harass a Mexican reporter. Where can I sign up? Par-dee!
Sideline: D'Brickashaw Ferguson starting LT and Vernon Gholston DE were also in the car. They just got lucky.
In the NFL, if you are arrested for drunk driving at 5:30 am Tuesday you get a nasty look and a talk. But hey... be sure and suit up this Sunday for the game.
But...if you are caught taking steroids or a banned substance (pot) you get an automatic 4 gm suspension. Hmmm...
Who drives in Manhattan anyway? Where were they coming from? Someplace you don't want a limo driver, Jets free car service or any witnesses to know about probably.
Anyway....the gm what about the gm? This is always a tough interdivision gm.
Darrelle Revis is out after only 1 and a half gms with a strained hamstring from running after T Owens. That's what you get for not coming to training camp.
Who needs him? The Jets don't. Cromartie and Kyle Wilson did just fine against Brady in the 2H, and will go against Miami's Brandon Marshall this week. Marshall is good BUT Miami don't throw. Hey against the Vikings Henne only had 15 atts.
Miami relies on Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams and the run, but against the tough Jets run D they might have to pass. But the Jets know who will be getting the ball and Marshall will have doubles all day.
Calvin Pace LB for Jets is also out with a foot fx.
Sanchez must have been talked to after the 1st gm because he looked completely different against the Saints and he let the ball fly.Sanchez had a rating of 56 in gm1 and 124 in gm2. 47% to 70% completions, threw for 3 tds and has yet to throw an single Int. (20 last yr)
Could he be the real deal or is the Sanchez just about to let a couple of ints land in the arms of Jason Allen?(he had 2 vs Farve)
Miami and Jets are tied at #7 for rushing this season with exactly the same 252 yds.
Miami is #28 and Jets are #29 in passing yds so far.
Defense against the run has the Jets at # 3 (101yds) and Miami #11 (206yds)
In pt/gm Miami allows the least tied for #1 with Steelers at 10pt/gm
Jets are #5 at 12pt/gm.
So... looks like a dust bowl, low scoring, field goals, punting, defensive battle, thus the second lowest O/U of week 3's gms
On the off chance that Sanchez puts 2 good gms back to back....
Taking the Jets +2
