They say a tie is like kissing your sister. Well for the St Louis Rams, who tied the 49ers at Candlestick last Sunday, they will tell you its like almost banging the prom queen. After coming off that embarassing loss to the Patriots in London, the Rams showed me something. They used their bye week very well, and showed me they are still very hungry and playing for more than their record...they're playing for respect!! And they are playing like their job depends on it!! They were at 3-5 and could have easily started the process of mailing it in on the road against a tough 49er team. Instead, they fought the 49ers to the very last seconds. For those of you who watched the game, its quite clear the Rams should have won that game. They were one illegal formation penalty away from beating the 49ers at Candlestick. I absolutely love the way Jeff Fisher has this team playing and I guarentee you they will play hard all season, and not finish in last place in their division (I think that spot will belong to the Arizona Cardinals). I also feel like there are some major leaders starting to emerge on this team in Bradford, Amendola, Robert Quinn (who is tied for 3rd in the league in sacks), and Chris Long.
The Jets, on the other hand, are a completely different story. Rex Ryan lost this team somewhere near the end of last season. Ever since the injuries to Revis & Santonio Holmes, this team has looked flat. Despite what Coach Ryan and Cromartie may be telling the media, I think they have gave up on this season. I also think that its becoming increasingly evident that the drafting of Mark Sanchez has been a mistake. He lacks the necessary leadership skills both on and off the field, and his overall play has been on a steady decline since his first two years in the league. Clearly he lacks credible wide receivers after the injury to Holmes, but last Sunday against Seattle, he made an inexcusable throw in the redzone that pretty much sealed the Jets fate. His 9/22 performance was painful to watch. Luckily for him the Rams secondary isn't as good as Seattle's.
Either way, I don't like the Jets in this situation. They just flew from NY to Seattle, back to NY, and then will be flying out west again to St. Louis to face a hungry Rams team that has lost their last two home games, and hasn't won a game since week 5. I look for that to change this Sunday.
My prediction: Rams roll and rack up a couple sack fumbles on Sanchez. I think Tim Tebow comes into the game in the 2nd half and keeps the Jets competitive, and wins the starting job for next week.

{I'm taking the Lambs and the points - I just think this game will be a little closer in the fourth quarter - like 10 points, not 12.5, mainly because it's divisional and Amendola opens it up a little more for Stephen Jackson.}
Also, all this hoopla over bringing in Tebow, not to bring in Tebow, blah, blah, blah - - choosing between Sanchez and Tebow is like choosing a punch to the face or a kick to the balls. Also, Rex Ryan will be gone at the end of the season..........
