After the soap opera there in Oakland- you got to fade the Raiders. Who will be running that offense- the line/head coach or Al Davis.
Sapp's statements about Davis and the Raiders said it all. Feel sorry for Oakland fans!

If anybody watched the Saints game last night, you will see that they played amazing on defense (for Saints standards)
and they are missing their main weapon, Sedrick Ellis.  HARPER and McKenzie stepped it up big time. The saints shut down the always dangerous Adrian Peterson,while exploiting the O Line. 

While the Vikings passing game was a joke to begin with, the Saints still managed to shut that down as well.

 Offensively (minus the blown calls and the retarded spasms resulting in turnovers), they were explosive, even without David Patten, Jeremy Shockey, Marques Colston, etc. 

Bottom line, hurry up and buy 0.5 pts to make it -7 : Saints @home

The Raiders and Vikings are somewhat similar in that they can't pass for SHIT, they have explosive but inexperienced/inconsistent RBs.. and add in the factor that the Raiders organization is in complete dissaray

SAINTS -7 for the game

No McFadden is not having the rookie season Peterson had with the Vikes. The Raiders are now starting all over again and we are a quarter of the way into the season. Jamarcus not comfortable yet with the Raider offense and also reading the Nfl defenses.
His development is certainly taking longer than expected.

okay...that monday night game was horrible for NO backers. Ed needs to be shot for all the bad calls, or lack of calls. Gramatica is garbage.

But i still like the saints here to cover @ home against a troubled raiders team.

but its too early to perdict, will have to see what the line does.
Raiders kind of scare me though....

N.O. will have this cover -8, -7, -9. either of those spreads. They got cheated on their last game, so they are looking for revenge on the next team they play AT home. This time they are playing for pride, after losing a game they should of won. Raiders doesnt have QB on que with his WR yet. watch N.O. run all over the raiders and watch Drew Brees throw bombs anywhere he wants it to be.

I like the OVER in this one.  Shockey and Colston are both practicing this week.  The Saints already like to sling it.  Also, I hear Al Davis wants to prove that Kiffin was wrong about Jamarcus Russell and wants to showcase him.  That means lots of passing touchdowns or interceptions.

what major factors would make the public back oakland?

saints are a healthy team, i mean sure they had a bad monday night game last week but i believe their one suck ass game (that every team is allowed) has passed.

oak just doesn't win games, and i guess the word is that russell is going to get the starting job....has anyone not seen this guy play?

I think the Saints are Gold here. Raiders are shit on the road.  Their D has been underacheiving so look for Brees to bounce back and Saints to eliminate the turnovers. Also they will have something of a running game unlike against the Vikes who totally shut the run down.

Saints are always a huge public play. I guess maybe it's the high octane offense that draws people to them. The assumption is they'll just outscore everyone.

No play for me as well. Not that good a card this weekend

Agreed.  For those of you who got screwed backing the Saints last Monday Night, well, here is your chance to get that money back.  What a wackass game that was.  I get pissed off just thinking about how that game unraveled and took my money at the very end. 

You gotta go with the old addage in this situation:

~TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AN ADVANTAGE~

Saints are better than the Raiders on so many levels that it doesn't even require discussion.  The Raider organization has become a laughingstock.

Saints minus WHATEVER.

Also:  For those of you who like to fire away on 2-team teasers, this may be the best side to tease of the day > Saints minus 1.

Raiders are going to be a mess with all those staff changes going around.  Saints held Adrian Peterson to 32 yards on 21 carries, just imagine what they would do to McFadden, Fargas and Bush.  So if they shut down Raiders rush, then the 29th passing offense will somehow have to step it up.
