San Diego at Oakland (09/10/2012)

The Chargers defense is much improved!  Look for them to get to Palmer for sacks and at least two picks.  Matthews is not as big of a loss as people think.  He has been hurt every year and the Chargers have never lost a beat offensively w/o him.  Ronnie Brown will be sufficient for 75 rushing a td and some receiving yards.  Gates is finally healthy and at 100% which is much better than having Matthews.  The biggest factor for this game however is the sense of urgency.  Sense of urgency has been posted and talked about at Chargers camp and throughout the pre-season.  The Chargers have not made the playoffs for 2 consecutive years and Norv Turner and AJ Smith have their jobs on the line.  They ABSOLUTELY can not afford to lose the first game and especially to a divisional opponent.  This game is of very high importance to SD.  Focus and effort should be at the max.  The Raiders have not had the same expectations.  They would like to make the playoffs and it would be nice to win the first game but if they lose, the sky will not fall down and its a long season.  I see SD pulling out all the stops to get the season started off right.  Fake punts, onside kicks and playoff mindset.

There is no lean to any side here chargers have dominated oakland in there last 7 but they dont start seasons off with wins theres is one LOCK her and thats the OVERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!
