San Francisco at Arizona (11/10/2008)

I looked at this game, analyzed past games, and looked a few trends. AZ is averaging 34 points a game at home while only allowing approximately 17. On the other hand, San Fran is allowing 30 points a game on the road with there only road win coming against a Seattle team that has won two games…one of them on the road @ San Fran and the other against a crappy Rams team that just got buried yesterday. San Fran’s two win are against Seattle and the winless Detroit Lions. After this being said I don’t believe SAN FRAN can come close to covering this game. AZ will put up points tonight and cover this game. My only concern with this game is the OVER. IMO AZ will no less 31 points tonight so that leaves SAN FRAN to make up the additional 17 points need to cover. San Fran is currently averaging 22 points on the road (skewed slightly because of the 33 the put up on Seattle) and were able to toss up 17 on the Giants and 17 against the Saints. I look for a high scoring Monday Night game. Final Play : AZ -9.5 and OVER 47.

I too fade the public and got hit hard this weekend both in College and Pro. All games with over 65% went the public way except for Seattle and KC. The books will be looking to get some of their handle back on this MNF. I too will be looking to get some of it back and so I will ride with the books and hope this mediocre Niners team can squeak out a cover.

The 49ers have struggled all season but at least they are entertaining again thanks to interim head coach Mike Singletary. He has made it clear to his team that things must change. One of his first changes was to bench tight end Vernon Davis and he will make another change this week starting Shaun Hill at quarterback.

I'm on Arizona medium play -9.5 spread. Nothing to like with this dog.

I like the idea of SF playing hard on D. So... I'm not going to play a total.

I cannot find anything to replace the Arizona QB nor more explosive/at home offense.

I think that SF might actually have a flat night on offense.

i really like the quarterback for arizona ...the dude is hot and he will pass for at least 4 touchdowns..thats not counting the 3 rushing touchdowns...lets add that up..7 times 7 =49ers get smoked ...lol..laying 100 arizona -10 before the line goes up anymore...final score 49 to 17 ....over is a good bet also...good luck to all of you...

 With you Fpronk as trends are next to worthless in  handicapping this type of game.Zona's stock is clearly on the rise while Frisco is clearly on the downside and here's a Big 10-4 on that 38-20

SF have not cover the spread in their last 5 games while the Cards have cover their last 4 games. I am taking Zona -9.5 (Big Bet) for tonight.. Go Cards !!!!!!

San Fran comes into AZ and scores 38?? Good Luck Bro! You're probably banking on a game like the Browns/Giants game where the Browns were +9 and smokes NYG on MNF. The difference there is that the Browns were the home team.. after reading my post I would like hear how you think San Fran scores 38 on AZ in AZ. I'll be waiting for your logical response. I hope its logical....

made a ton of cash following the money vs.line movement this week and dont see a reason that TREND shouldnt stay that way tonight. with half the season gone we can tell the bad from the good from the very bad. tonite is the very good vs. the very bad. so with that we have arizona 1st half and over and arizona over for the game as well.if that work i will hammer the 2nd half.

For those of you that can bet it...Arizona over 29 seems like a good play.  SF has given up at least 29 points in the last 5 games.  AZ has scores at least 29 points in 4 of the last 5 games.

You can't treat men like boys and expect them to respect and want to play for you. He has been trying to be a head coach for years and is going to blow it in less then a quarter of a season. His players will prove that I think. Alot of points at 9.5 but a few big covers this weekend makes me think ARZ is the play.

to be safe you could tease the cards and the over. Get the cards at 2.5 and the over at 40.5. 7 point teaser to pay just about even money. I'm going to do this as a small safety bet in case ARZ doesn't cover the full line and over. Or you could tease ARZ and the under. The over under is the only thing that scares me. How many points is San Fran going to score? They're arguably the worst offense with a new quarterback. Yikes that's scary.

It might scare you if its two teams like last night the Giants and the Eagles and if all the money was on say the Giants and the spread is only 2.5 to 3.0 but these i think are two teams headed in different directions.  I'm on Zona -9.5 but it is the N.F.L. anything can happen.

The objective is to "dominate in the trenches" by stressing the run all the more. That's stat-conscious Frank Gore (629 yards, 4.6 average) you see smiling. Robinson, a quarterback in college and a short-yardage specialist in his first two years with the 49ers, probably will get the bulk of time at fullback providing lead blocks as well as representing a change-of-pace as a runner.

That's fine with offensive coordinator Mike Martz, who built his "Greatest Show on Turf" bunch in St. Louis around the most complete running back in the league of that era in Marshall Faulk.

If you look at the ATS trends they point to AZ but you can't put a trend on emotion and attitude.  Finally a national monday night game for AZ...they will be fired up to shock the NFL and prove they are for real.  San Fran's only gameplan is to keep it close they will not survive a shootout.

If your on San Fran please be reminded that Shaun Hill has not started a regular season NFL road game EVER! This is a MNF game on the road in a stadium that will be hostile and pumped up for national exposure.
