Especially with those hurricane-like conditions and all, coupled with that leaky Edward Jones Dome Arena roof...should be a sloppy one.

Feeling like a pro this year with the picks. Sticking to all no brainer picks!

Yesterday teased Den and over -4, 42 (which I felt great about and almost missed) And San Diego and the over -1, 38.

For the hat trick tonight San Fran +3 and over 38.

San fran is running the ball when it should and setting up the pass with that. The offense hasn't even fully developed thus far. It may reach its peak tonight. 28-17 San Fran

Why don't you try looking at Gore and Kap vs this bottom of the barrel STL run defense and Gore's history in that department...see what you think about that.

Laurantanis and ogletree shuting down gore secondary allowing least amount of opp pass Tds sounds like a hell of a defense ! O line saffold long and no 1 pick Greg Robinson Austin Davis playing as good as kaperslick I could very well see a rams upset!

Holt...I've been following you for quite some time now and highly respect your picks but I bought into this exact way of thinking when these two teams played last year in SL, it was almost the exact same scenario (numbers wise) and SanFran crushed them something like 35-11? What different about tonight's affair?

And last years game, in the same venue,  was a Thursday night game.....Maybe not as big as Monday night but still the only game is town...

I love the over in this game. taking it for a small amount. I also think the Rams will play the 49ers better than people are expecting, especially after how well they played against a Dallas team that is shocking everyone. take the points and roll with the Rams.

Look how tough the Rams have played decent teams every week after they laid an egg opening weekend. 49'rs are shaky and Rams snag a big win tonight.

Here's what I got thus far;

Austin: 
  • Better passer rating that Kaperdick.
  • Better passer rating and has thrown for more yards than every team they have played against.
  • #7 in the NFL in passing


Ram's D ;
  • #1 against the pass in the NFL
  • #31 against the rush (yuck)
  • Held Nick Foles to under 300 passing and Kaperdick is no Nick Foles.
  • Held Romo to Under 300 yards.
Last time these Two played 12 of San Fran's points came from Field goals.

San Fran:
  • 28th in the NFL in Passing
  • 4th best rushing offence
  • 3rd against the pass
  • 5th against the run
Overall take on this:

San Fran will have to rely heavily on the running game because the Ram's are going to load up the box on the weaker o-line and pressure him all night. I believe that makes them one dimensional and thus easier to defend the run. Expect a lot of sacks in this game. San Fran wins this game with their kicker. Ram's keep it close, trying to exploit the absence of CB-Brock who is out for this game. Center Martin is also out, which only solidify's my emphasis for the run game to not be all that effective. Points will be at a premium here. Gore barely gets 80-ish yards rushing!!
