They say parlays and teasers are for suckers...worse odds. But really the truth of the matter is sports gambling is for suckers, period, you have to win 55% of the time to break even.
But putting enough money on a game to make it fun enough to cheer for a team that you otherwise wouldn't give a shit about but not so much that it really hurts financially is what sports gambling is all about.
I like to take two or three teasers, knocking a favotite from 6 to 9 points down to 0 to 3 point favorites. Vikes -1,Bears-3, and Pats -1. Have fun and lose money as slowly as possible is the name of the sports gambling game. Those three teams should cover, they are each way better than their opponents but come 4th quarter they don't give a shit about covering a big spread, just winning.

Normally I am cautious when taking any road team on a Thursday night, but I think this matchup is interesting.
I took Tampa last week vs the Saints, and unfortunately I fell victim to Drew Brees who went absolutely nuts (also had some bad luck too because they almost had the game tying touchdown twice). But I am still in the camp that this Tampa team is getting better and better every week. The most troubling aspect of this team has been the abysmal play of their secondary. They simply haven't been able to hang on to a lead. I've seen them blow big leads against the Giants and the Saints.
I think this matchup bodes well for Tampa because Minnesota hasn't been beating teams with their vertical passing attack. They have a great offense, and Ponder has been doing a phenomenal job in his sophomore campaign, but the Vikings simply don't sling the ball downfield. They have a ball control offense with a mix of short passes to Harvin, and a heavy dose of AP. I also think Ponder coming off one of his more embarassing performances this year (8/17, 58 yards, 1 TD & 2 Picks) will not have the confidence to air it out on this young and below-average secondary.
The Bucs on the other hand, with the addition of Vincent Jackson, have quite the vertical passing game. They also have balance (Schiano wouldn't have it any other way) in Doug Martin. I also don't mind this Bucs defense because they have shown a knack for creating turnovers. I think the Bucs will do enough to cover this game even with the short work week. The Vikings may have won last week, but it sure wasn't impressive. The Bucs on the other hand fought the Saints till the very end, and their offense moved the ball with ease and CAPITALIZED on their sole turnover. To me, thats a sign of a decent team even if it is against the horrendous Saints defense.
Im riding Tampa again tonight.

I actually see this one turning into a shoot out. And I can see
But this is just a complete guess... I'm not putting any real money on this one.
