The Bucs coming off their most embarrassing loss in franchise history will be coming into this matchup playing 110% from start to finish. Also, Pittsburgh lost significant defensive players (Shazier, Taylor, Jones) last game and just signed 36 year old Harrison who will be playing at snail pace at best.
Tampa will be starting Glennon at QB which imo actually helps their passing attack. Look for rookie Mike Evans to have a breakout game especially if Vincent can't play (wrist). Doug Martin and Gerald McCoy are expected back as well. Bucs have been off since last Thursday to think about this game, meanwhile the Steelers are scrambling to assemble a defense after the late game Sunday.
Bucs will cover the +7.5

Injuries to the LB's can be and were covered last game against a better team on the road so not that big a deal short term. I doubt Harrison plays this week so his age will not matter. Loss of Ike Taylor may hurt the Steelers somewhat but the Bucs have shown ??? so far this year and for sure Pittsburgh has the better QB plus all 3 games this year were against better defenses.

Bucs have horrible o-line, no pass rush, weak secondary, and a new coach who looks clueless on the sidelines. The starting qb is injured and they are starting Mike Glennon who stands like a statue in the pocket. And now we learn their new offensive coordinater Jeff Tedford is out indefinitely with a heart condition. I can't make a case for the Bucs to keep it close. Pitt by 2 touchdowns.

TB is the second worst team in the NFL in my Power Rankings. The've ran the ball pretty well, but thats about it. Mike Glennon is average at best and may not have his full compliment of receivers. So I wouldn't bank on him taking advantage of a banged up secondary on the road. Especially with the that awful pass blocking of the Bucs.
Even if the Bucs found ways to put drives together, Their pass rush, or lack there of, and are pathetic pass coverage will be eaten alive by Big Ben and a formidable passing attack. The Steelers also have top-notch rushing attack and that will be to much for TB to handle.
PIT & TB both played the Panthers, with very different results. PIT 37-19 CAR, TB 14-20 CAR. TB was actually favored in that game vs. CAR by -5.5, which is laughable! They were also favorites vs. STL, losing that game straight up as well. They only got +6.5 when they were badly overmatched in ATL. So TB getting only +7.5 on the road, with that swiss cheese D vs. one of the leagues best offense (6.7 Yard Per Play), shows that TB is still getting overvalued on their way to 0-4 ATS.
PIT -7.5

As a Steelers fan, I think this line is a trap. Pittsburgh is not a very good large spread favorite. They should win large, but they have knack for letting weaker teams hang around and keep it a close game. This is either a no play on a slight lean to TB & the under

Ben is an accurate passer and will slice and dice Tampas Secondary. Tampa has like the worst pass defense in the league and no way to protect Glennon. This gets ugly quick. It's worth buying down to get it at 7 LARGE And in a teaser and parlay.

I gotta agree with mellowman that Big Ben is a hell of a passer. He probably will carve up the the pass-defenseless Bucs big-time. What the hell,... lay the pts

Nice observation regarding the coach etc.

the Bucs running attack may give Steelers some problems. Panthers just didn't have any RB's to do squat but the Bucs can with Doug Martin and Bobby Rainey.
I just don't know how they can stop Antonio Brown. He'll score a touchdown catch, take a punt return for a score, reverse play and run it in for a score. Wouldn't be surprised if Brown got 3 TD's in this game doing all of the above. Bell/Blount won't have big runs but they'll be effective enough to move the chains. The Bucs are just that bad on all three phases
the Bucs have historically been terrible at Heinz Field and I don't expect it to be much different in this matchup. the Bucs will put up a much better effort this week after losing so badly.. but still won't be close like the Browns did in week 1.
Steelers win by 10.... gladly take the -7.5
Sip on that plus money honey!
