I like the Skins here as +3 road dogs. I actually like the Skins as a SU dog winner here.
Skins 6-2 ATS in L-6 vs Bears. Means little now but numbers on my side are usually a good thing to consider.
Over 40 seems very reasonable to me also.
Donovan McNabb is from Chicago so you'll expect some extra emotion from him. BUT...It did not work the last time his Eagles were in Chi-town as the Eagles failed on a first and goal situation to try and secure a win.

Bears homer but gonna take Wash in this one for my 2nd play against Da Bears this year. Had Lions in week 1. Felt pretty good about them since and it had worked out ok. I was thinking the o line would get its shit together but that isnt looking good! Thought Martz would run the ball more vs seahawks and throw a bunch of screens (which they did twice and both of them worked for big gains!!) but he is so set on passing every down and it will prove to be the reason they lose this week and more then likely in the weeks to come!!! Mike shanahan and the Wash d will follow the same game plan that the giants proved would work and take this one in another ugly game for Da Bears and the leagues worst coaching staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Skins + whatever!!!

Bears-3 is the appropriate play for this game. The Skins are in over their heads against this defense. Plus the Beras just lost their last home game too. Take the chalk

This Redskins team is up and down. They lose to the Rams on the road but beat the Phillies ! I see a tight game here, more research need but early lean is on the Skins -3 .......

the skins have been playing a lot of tight games this year, but have only had 1 out of division road game and that was an ugly loss to the rams. They won in philly because they always mess up philly for whatever reason, but there are still a lot of problems with this team. For starters, their secondary has allowed more yards per game through the air this year than 30 other teams, and their run defense has been increasingly soft. Statistically they rank 24th and 17th respectively compared to chicago's defense at 12 and 16 respectively.
While chicago's run game is fairly weak at 24th overall, the numbers behind their passing game are very misleading as they factor in the game where collins was under center and the team only got 50 yards through the air. Fact of the matter is that cutler can air it out with the best of them and this washington secondary is a perfect way to get back on track.
The only real elite aspect to these teams is chicago's d-line, specifically when it comes to run stopping, which will make washington quickly one dimensional and force them to pass into a decent secondary.
more research pending, but i'm pretty well locked into the bears here.

going the other way myself...

Glad you like that they are 6-0 ATS on "Soldier Field Grass", but I'm sure the Chicago Park District will have this field looking shitty per the usual.
This line isn't a surprise and everyone has initially jumped on Washington, but why??
If Briggs comes back this week the D will be even stronger for the Bears D. The question is if the O Line can hold their blocks long enough so Cutler doesn't have a freakout and quit again.
Chicago DOES have a tremendous homefield crowd, and Washington has not been truely tested on the road. WAIT they did. AND it was the RAMS, not the Iggles that were the true test.
Chicago 31
Washington 24

CHI -3 (3units): The Bears were humiliated last week by the lowly seahawks, while the Skins suffered a tough loss last SNF vs the Colts. The public is pounding the Skins by 80%. Lemme see... the Bear defense is ranked 4 against the pass (PYPA-Statfox) and 5 against the run (3.5yds/carry). i see a Bear victory, Score: Bears 21-Redskins 14

I am also adding a play on the under as the defenses will be key in this game. Mike Martz offense leaves the quarterback exposed. To overcome this more short 3 step drops will be instituted in this game. The Redskins have good corners so there's a good chance of some three and outs on both sides. The Bears for damn sure will slow down what the Redskins are doing.
Redskins/Bears under 40.5

as much as i hate the skins they are the play here. seems like shanahan has the offense gelling together. also orakpo and co. should have like 5-7 sacks on chicken cutlet. skins secondary should have knox and olsen covered real tight.

I don't see Chicago losing back to back home games. They should bounce back in this spot. Cutler should be able to pass on Redskins secondary which is ailing right now. Reports coming in with Landry experiencing an injury and that secondary cannot afford to lose him with the way they've been playing lately. DeAngelo Hall leads the league in completions allowed. That's scary cuzz i expect so much more from that guy but maybe his game has simply fallen off. This is also a revenge matchup for Chicago's defense as McNabb / Eagles were able to win a close one vs. them last year. Chicago's defense was simply tired of being on the field so much lately and seemed to snap out of place last week vs. the Hawks. Hasselback was coming off rest and able to execute a good passing game. I see Chicago being fired up in this game and causing trouble for McNabb & Co. Hopin' more people jump on Washington and drive it down to -2 1/2. I know Bears are going thru some O-Line hiccups but they're dealing with 2 rookies / communication issues. That won't happen every week and things will start to jell / improve because the 2 rookies ( Edwin Williams / J'Marcus Webb ) are beasts of nature.
Chicago's O-Line plays better vs. softer D-Line w/ Washington which may be the weakest link in Washingtons defense and the true reason that Skins secondary has given up so many yards this year.
