The appreciation and continued support I get from this keeps me going...I thoroughly enjoy the 4 months off I get...but it's a hell of a contest that started wayyyyy back about 7 years ago with ACC I believe

Man, the heat is on now! Although I do appreciate the vote of confidence from everyone, it's not going to be an easy win. Ben and InBlood are formidable opponents with plenty of experience and knowledge to make solid picks Thursday. Sair is somewhat of a wild card to me. Makes good choices (obviously), but I just don't know enough about him to judge.
Strategy wise is going to be interesting....we've all used Thomas already, so nobody gets 10 strokes to start.
3 out of 4 have used Cantlay. (InBlood has him available and I would expect him to start)
Nobody has used Koepka or Reed
3 of us have McIlroy available.
So there's the top 5 starting positions, all within 5 strokes of each other. I would expect someone in the 4 and 3 under range to make some noise. That could be where this thing is won!!!
Good luck to everyone!

My odds would be...
AJ +100
InBlood +150
sairjordan23 +400
benhogan76 +1000 (sorry, haven't had a winning pick all year)

just to be clear it’s my understanding the added bonus strokes each golfer starts with will be subtracted from the total .. my understanding every golfer in the tournament will start at E the -10 justin has or -8 the next golfer has , has no effect for who we choose ... good luck this week !

I think it does matter! You pick JT and you have a 10 stroke advantage right away! Which ever player you pick, you start with those strokes just like they do. CMJ is saying our scores reset and all four of us are at zero. But I'm pretty sure whatever golfers we pick for tomorrow, we get those strokes according to where they sit in the standings.

Post #7 - I don't think you get the bonus strokes. CMJ needs to make this final, but that is what he said.

Well that's just great, I missed that or I would have brought some discussion to that topic. I also picked the last two weeks based off us getting whatever strokes they ended up getting for the Final. I thought that was a part of the strategy?
Still doesn't make sense....
So I pick Cantlay (starts 8 under) and he ends up finishing Sunday with a score of -18. My final score for him would be -10?

I brought this up before the playoff started , because it would effect how golfers would be chosen , asked if we would start with the bonus strokes and he answered he would not be using them .. look back at the first playoff thread , and the question I asked .. seemed pretty clear from the beginning.

It's all good! I completely missed that post, so that's on me.
So basically we're going to pick the two golfers we think will have the best week overall? The strokes they start with mean nothing and will be subtracted once the tournament ends??
