Welcome back everyone. 3rd year that I've been doing this after taking over for ACC...first of all I would like to thank all of you that posted in the first thread giving me ideas and feedback about possible changes. I took them all under consideration, and will stick with the two golfers.
Here is the final rule sheet:
1. Select TWO golfers per week. You cannot use a golfer more than once in the regular season.
2. I will post the weekly thread sometime on either Monday or Tuesday depending on my schedule, as well as the standings up to that point. You must post your picks before that player tees off for the week. Once ALL players have teed off, no more entries will be accepted. If a player hasn't teed off yet, you may use him.
3. You will receive the score of your selected players. For instance if you choose Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson for a week and Woods gets -5 and Mickelson gets -3 your score would be a -8 for the week. If a selected players misses the cut, is disqualified, withdraws, or makes the cut and does not finish, you will receive a +5 on the worst FINISHING score of the week. As an example, Kevin Stadler withdrew this week at the Hyundai despite there not being a cut. The worst finishing score is -2..so Stadler would receive a +3. If you pick a player who withdraws before the tournament starts you are allowed to replace him with anyone who hasn't teed off yet...you are not locked into the first players you type.
4. As with last season, we will have DOUBLE POINTS weeks. This will include all 4 majors (Masters, US Open, British Open, and PGA Championship) and new to this year we will add 4 more DOUBLE POINTS weeks..the WGC Cadillac Championships...WGC Match Play...the Players Championship...and the WGC Bridgestone. For these weeks, all scores will be doubled, no matter if they are good or bad. For the examples above, a Woods/Mickelson selection would be a -8 x2 = -16....a Kevin Stadler selection would be +3 x2 = +6
5. There are 32 weeks in the regular season. If you miss 8 weeks overall (25% of the season) you will be eliminated from the competition. A missed week will give you the score of +5 on the worst finishing score of the week. This is to make it easier on myself trying to track and monitor 30+ players picking 2 players a week for 32 weeks. Please try and be there every week.
6. If you are lucky enough to pick the WINNER of the tournament, you will receive a -10 bonus on their finishing score for that week. If Woods wins the Masters with a score of -12...the scoring would look like this... -12 x2 = -24 x winning bonus = -34. I know there was some confusion over this last season of whether I would add the ten points in before the double points or after. I decided on after. If it was a regular week the scoring would be -12 and a -10 bonus for a -22 overall. This doesn't happen as often as you would think however.
7. During the MAJORS and MAJORS ONLY I will add in a 2nd and 3rd place bonus as well since the scores are generally lower. A 2nd place selection would earn a -5 bonus and a 3rd place selection would earn a -3 bonus. If Woods/Mickelson finish at -5 and -3 for a 1st and 2nd finish in the US Open the scoring would look like this...
8. Most importantly you MUST list out all the golfers you have used during the season. As much as I would like to run this on the honor system, it's just too damn hard to keep track of 64 golfers from 30 different guys picking. As most of the veterans in here will tell you, it's hard enough to keep track of your own guys, and you will pick a guy twice without realizing it. Someone in the weekly thread will surely point that out to you. If you do not make it back in time to change the pick...you get a MC/DNF/DQ score. Sorry, I'm not sorry.
9. The PLAYOFFS will run concurrently with the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs in August/September. The amount of competitors and the format will be decided sometime in the middle of the season once we see what the participation is like. Last year we did 16 guys and it was great. I would like to get to that number again this year. If you would like to participate in the prize pool that is fine, but not a requirement. Last year JOHNNY_ODAE put together a nice little set up for Clepto...and I think if we can get a lot of the regular to throw in a hat/shirt/sleeve of balls or whatever it could be really nice.
10. If there are any questions about scoring or the standings (and there will be...I'm a human) please post them in the standings thread and I will address it. I do save the standings on a weekly basis, so I have every week tracked and logged. Don't be a dick about it please...just point it out and I will look into it. When in doubt I will refer back to this rule sheet.
11. GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY!!

Due to popular request, I have decided to continue to nickname my golfers. Not sure how good some of these are going to be throughout the year as I will have some good weeks and some off weeks. Nothing will top last years selection of "Matt Every Justin Rose Has It's Thorn", but here we go with an Ice Cube NWA throwback (or Woody Harrelson movie throughback, which ever way you swing), and an obvious 1989 throwback.
