Tough 1-3 last week at The Travelers. Now 40-35-2 (+5.56 Units) for the 2019/20 season.
Rocket Mortage Classic 72-Hole Matchups
Viktor Hovland (+107) over Hideki Matsuyama - 1 Unit
- Hovland is rounding into form nicely with finishes of 23rd, 21st, and 11th in the first 3 weeks back. Hideki on the other hand only has a missed cut at Harbor Town since the Tour restarted. Only 1 year of course history to go off at Detroit Country Club and both finished T-13 last year. I'll take the trending Hovland at plus money.
Joseph Bramlett (+102) over Matthew Wolff - 1 Unit
- A relative unknown in Bramlett has been playing very strong golf as of late, with a 2nd and 3rd place finish in consecutive weeks on the Korn Ferry Tour before finishing 41st in a start on Tour at the Travelers last week. I believe good golf usually travels regardless of where you are teeing it up and expect him to make another cut this week. This play is also a fade on Wolff, who has gone 54th - MC - MC the last 3 weeks and missed the cut here last year.
Bryson DeChambeau (-137) over Webb Simpson - 1 Unit
- About as much juice as I'm willing to lay on a H2H matchup, but I don't know how you can bet against Bryson right now. His last 6 starts have gone 5th - 2nd - 4th - 3rd - 8th - 6th. Webb is pretty hit or miss, as he has 2 wins in his last 4 starts but also a 61st and a missed cut. Since it will likely take a top 5 finish to beat DeChambeau, I'll take my chances with Bryson.
Good Luck
