Crazy. Assaulting a police officer...
Did not have that one on my PGA bingo card!
Will he make his tee time?
@TxRangers
Yeah, that’s not the case here. They were told all golfers would be allowed to past the traffic stop. He was in a marked courtesy car. Cops are fucking stupid. All charges will be dropped.

@Jameson2954
You can't cross a police crime scene, and it doesn't matter who you are? Why do you think he was arrested??? Because athletes or golfers don't have special privileges.

A man was killed at the bus stop, that's why there was crime scene. These athletes are a bunch of idiots and think they're above the law. The police officer jumped on his car, sheffler took off while the cop was on the car. I'm not sure what story you are reading????. But this dude is an idiot crossing a crime scene and dragging a police officer!!

What do you mean all cops are effing stupid??? Someone got killed at the bus stop, there was crime tape, and this golfer crossed it. That's why he went to jail

He was already thru the “crime scene” and at the entrance to the club. If I’m Scottie I’m not paying one bit of anttention and think the police are there to direct ME. People die everyday, the world goes on.

“I think this is probably my biggest takeaway.
From what I’ve read, traffic control/access was already a shite show. You have a pedestrian killed by a shuttle bus right outside the entrance to the club. Chances are pretty good that the pedestrian, the shuttle bus, or (more likely) both were there because of the event.
Then a cop who is directing traffic - but apparently hadn’t been directing traffic for the event up to that point - arrests the number one player who is trying to enter the event in a marked PGA courtesy car based on the instruction he had received previously about going around the traffic. The cops double down and actually book him.
Now it’s a national news story, an embarrassment for the city, and an even bigger shite show that ultimately leads to the PGA having to push the event’s start time.
When you add it all up, I would think the PGA is going to seriously consider whether the city is capable of handling this event in the future. Regardless of whether Scheffler handled the situation appropriately, the whole thing will be a black eye for Louisville. The economic impact to the city will be much larger than whatever Scheffler winds up having to pay his attorney to make it go away.”

Also, the owner of Valhalla was said to be in the vehicle. “Go around”

I agree he couldn’t have handled it much worse! Now the PGA is weighing moving the tournament elsewhere? Looks like these privilege pricks are no different than the pricks on the board of directors of Bank of America! I hope the policemen sees this though and doesn’t accept a doggie milk bone or signed golf ball !

Scheffler is bred from the same type of people that are board of directors for Bank of America. It's one of the reasons i don't like him is that he tries to pass himself off as some 'aw shucks' Texas christian boy, but in reality he was born in North Jersey to uber rich parents. His mom was CEO of one of NYC's biggest law firms (Scottie shouldn't have trouble getting a good lawyer). He always seems like arrogant entitled jerk, so it's no surprise something like this happened.
