I see Phil Mickelson winning it all. Who do ya'll feel or think or know will win it all?
Ive posted this info before.....two years ago, I took Spieth and lost. Didnt take him last yr. Have him at 50-1 this yr. Sports has been good to me the last yr. All Florida teams make it to their league finals. Tbay NHL(won) Miami NBA(lost) Tbay MLB lost Tbay NFL won. Check my previous posts....I said Bay lor and Gonzaga were destined to play in the Final. They were supposed to play in December and didnt because of Covid. IF you look at golfers who have won The Masters and The US Open in the same year....and then added the years to their next Masters win, we have Hogan 2, Palmer 2, Nicklaus 3, Woods 3, a win for Spieth would make it 6 years since his last Masters win. Ive bet on crazier things. Team from Texas just won the NCAA and I think golfer from Texas wins the Masters. Want another flyer.....gap in yrs between titles or yrs from founding to title. NHL Boston was 39 years(72 championship-2011), Detroit 42(55 championship-97), Washington 44(1974 founding-2018). 39,42,44 Then we had Chicago 49(61 championship-2010), St Louis 52(67 founding-2019),and this yr would be toronto 54(67 chamionship-2021) 49,52,54. NYY have made WS in 1921, 1941, 1961, 1981 and 2001

Most of the comments on this thread have me scratching my head.......
StoneColdSucker- DeChambeau actually did make the cut last year
kamphil- If a team plays enough years in professionals sports than there is a good chance they have won a championship or will eventually get a franchise player to win one. Your take is more of a fun factor which is fine.
If I followed the logic you put above I would have wagered my life savings on Illinois basketball to make it to the Final Four this year (wagering on IL collegiate teams in IL is illegal) Illinois made Final Four in 1989....16 years later in 2005....16 years later in 2021 #1 seed but nope

@fightingillini I had futures on Illini getting to Final Four, they won big 10 championship at Lucas Oil and figured they would get to final four.
Just as I had Oklahoma beating Florida in 2020 NCAAF bowl game. They had won big championship in Jerry dome and won bowl game in same place.
I also had Baylor and Gonzaga in final four, they were supposed to play in December. Before the brackets were announced, I thought they would meet in nat'l semis. In 1968 UCLA avenged only loss of season(to Houston) to beat Houston in Nat'l semis...and in 1974 NcSt beat Ucla in nat'l semis to avenge only loss of season(to ucla) to beat ucla in nat'l semis
I like looking for teams to play each other where there will be stories: duke avenged loss in NC final to unlv and then beat them in nat'l semis the following year back in the 90's. Do I lose some.....sure....in ncaa tourney, they sell stories. Michael Young Jr of Rutgers playing the alma mater of his father Michael Sr(Houston).
For next yrs NCAAF, I think we will see reverse of what happened at the end of Urban Meyer/Tim Tebow era 2008. They beat Alabama in SEC championship and then won title vs Oklahoma. In 2009, Alabama reversed the sides and beat Florida to win SEC championship and then beat Texas for NC. I expect Florida to win it all next year.
Im sorry...as someone said, this is a golf forum
Btw, I live near Madison, Wi and am looking forward to getting to a sportsbook in Illinois, I figured the one by OHare would be a good place to start.
Beats flying to Vegas except in Vegas, I like the higher limits tables on craps.
@jaybosstein As I said in the thoughts on the NHL, Toronto last won in 1967, a win this year would be 54 years.....the progression of teams by years would be 39,42,44 and 49,52,54. I follow a guy who is into numerology and Chinese astrology...and he wins boatloads of money betting on sports.
I figure we are all here to help each other beat the books
