Tiger is done

I was excited to see Tiger shoot a great 3rd round at Doral to get into contention, but then he struggled in the 4th round. What a bummer!

People are still talking about him breaking Nicklaus' major wins record.  YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT IT!! No chance!  He can't even win a regular PGA tour event and people are talking about him winning majors??? Who cares if he finishes in the top 5 at every tournament including the majors.  With his skills and talent still in place, he should be winning tournaments and majors instead of settling for top 5 finishes.  His body is breaking down as he gets older and he is suffering much more injuries than before. I guess laying off the juice has its consequences.  He is still a very good player, but in no way is he a great player right now or in the future. His greatness has passed him by. lol

I hope I am wrong, but Tiger will never win a major again. If he could just kept his pants on, he could have totally dominated the sport of golf through his 40's and obliterate Nicklaus's major wins record.

  .... Unreal.... Yea he only WON Five times last year...  On a limited schedule.. The  majority of golfers on the PGA tour do not win five touneys  in a lifetime...  sorry bad call..

I'm talking about THIS YEAR, not last year....I will suck his balls if he wins more than 1 PGA TOUR event this year.

Better yet, I would be shocked if he finishes in the top 5 in any majors this year.

It's sad in a way...he changed the game forever and made us actually care about the game.  Nothing would have been better than Tiger getting to 17 majors and the hype around every single major following that.

I think the fact that he is ABLE to pick events he can win easily shows how good he is. Who can just say, yeah ill win these events? Thats hard enough as it is. That says enough right there. Thats pretty good to me

You didnt say this year. Your thread implies hes done forever so he responded by saying well he just won 5 times last year so he cant be too far off

  Its just that easy is it Rainman... Funny no other PGA player has  broken the "code" as you have..  Since no other player last year won more then TWICE last year on the tour besides Tiger.. Just you have it figured out how to win on the tour......  Class over ...  Back to the windmill and  getting the ball in the clowns mouth on 18 for a free game for you....

Lets move on without the constant infantile remarks every time he plays well people say he's back and every time he plays bad he's done for life. Everyone can see he is having major issues both with his fiscal condition and his game lets just see what happens ans stop making comments like any of us can see into the future.

Nobody will know till it's all said and done. People point out, "look at Jack and how many times he won after 40." Well you know what, Jack didn't take PED's. Jack's body didn't break down from that crap. Father time broke down Jack. Tiger's body is breaking down on an accelerated pace. Hell in a year or two, he may only play the 4 Major's and a few other select tournys. because that's all he can handle (HEALTH WISE)

I'm on the fence here actually....I want to see him win again. I want to see that old "Tiger", but as time goes by and he keeps having these issues, his light at the end of the tunnel is fading fast....I honestly don't think he wins another Major. A regular tournament, MAYBE, but not a Major.

He's lost it and he lost me with that display at the Barclays last year. Used to be his biggest fan but falling to his knees done it for me. Now I find myself rooting against him. And I don't think he wins a pga tourney this year. Just my opinion. find myself rooting for Zach, kooch, Dufner etc. good family guys that I want my kids to look up to. Not a pouty cry baby who quits when it's tough.

We shall see.... IMO  way way to early to write off last years PGA PLAYER OF THE YEAR...   Nobody in golf was better then him last year ... a no brainer...  And he has a little bit of history before last year to add to the resume..  Long year ahead he is nowhere done winning IMO...  Time will tell...

Tiger had a great year last year. There is no denying that. I'm talking about this year and beyond, Tiger will never win another major. Actually, Tiger might win another major, but it will be on the Senior Tour. lol  It's a shame because I was ready to crown him as the greatest golfer of all time, but he needs to win at least 2 more majors in order to be considered the greatest golfer of all time. To clarify, the title should read "Tiger is done being a great golfer."  Tiger is still a very good golfer, but in no way is he a great golfer anymore. Because he is only a very good golfer, it opens the door for other very good golfers to compete against him to win majors. Players like Dustin, Bubba, Rory, Adam are no longer in Tiger's rear view mirror. They are actually side by side with him. lol

stop living in the past..  he has done nothing this year that should make you feel confident that he will miraculously regain his old form

Its early grasshopper ...  I quess Phil is done for the year.also.. Rory done for the year...  ect... ..The past ... last year.... ..... season just started for the real players 3 weeks ago...

By some of the comments i guess reid is the best golfer in the world..... Everyone else that hasnt won this year is all done.. Tigers Best is BY FAR better than everyone elses best still. And as long as thats the case he is the favorite to win every tourney he enters. Like Feherty said when tiger plays well nobody else can win. I actually think tiger snags a major this year and if thats the case look out, the floodgates could open. At this stage of tigers career his next major will b like his 1st. He gotta get that monkey of his back. even tho tiger has had injuries, with todays technology and fitness and diet programs tiger will play and at a high level til mid 40s minimum.  I think he will be right around jacks record. Even if he falls short he is still the greatest most dominant golfer ever. With todays talent and the fields being so deep its absolutely insane what he has accomplished. He won 5 times last yr and people say hes all done lolol.  Everyone knows if jack was in this era he wouldnt even b close to 18 majors. Back then u worried about a handful of golfers and that was it. Now in every major theres about 60 guys that can win

He will always be the best ever that we will see. I never liked him, but respect the fact he has the best game. He could work on it and win the needed ones. But it is not that important to him. Jack won for the money, and the fame. Tiger doesn't need to do that...

Funny how writers, and golfers care so much about the majors. If tiger played as well as he does today, back then, Jack would have never won what he did.

It is mostly the plain white man that cheers for him to lose. It will always be in the back of many's minds that they don't want him to beat Jack because he is black.

 

Really pathetic... If I were him, I would retire, walk away, and live his life having fun. Why even care about the other garbage... Stupid white folk...

YOu are so right, and yet, all you here them say is he didn't win a Major. That is such a joke. Or manning can't win a superbowl as if it is his fault...

I think they write it to get on their nerves....

You are right if Jack had access to the technology, equipment, info on diet and training and PEDs like Woods he probably would have won 25.  Handshake emoticon.
