Gee, open your eyes and look what is going on... Tiger's percentage was incredible on short putts throughout his career until the last few years. Age is catching up with him as it has with all of the greats. Tiger is a slave to time and space as we all are. He is not the superman.

Age is not the reason for Tiger's downfall.

Tiger has always been a very private person,
flying under the radar with his personal life and lifestyle.

Now everything has turned into a violent storm thrown into the public arena. This has a huge impact on Tiger and the way he is perceived. Tiger cares a GREAT DEAL about how he is perceived in the public eye. His reputation which means everything to him has been sullied beyond repair.

We all know how much of a mental game golf can be.
With this massive firestorm revolving around Tiger the past 9 months, his sexual exploits, the divorce, the custody of his children. This has taken a rather large toll on the mental capacity of the man and has affected the overall quality of and mental commitment to his game.

Tiger missed a 11 footer on 1? What the fuck are you talking about short putt? The putt on hole 2 was not exactly short either.

Have you ever heard of IMPLIED ODDS and GAME THEORY? Tiger will always miss putts. So will everyone else in the world who plays golf. It's acutally quite funny because your giving him so much respect right now. When he misses, you want to try find an excuse for him. 

Tiger had one of the best rounds for the late afternoon rounds. So he missed 1 semi short putt. What exactly does that matter when he played a EXCELLENT ROUND OF GOLF? please explain. thank you

Drive for show putt for dough.
When you get older you get the yips which affects your putts.
Please keep betting on tiger and making him the favorite.

After Tiger missed short putts on holes 13 & 15 yesterday (Friday), the commentators on espn said that Tiger missing those short putts was very uncharacteristic of him.

Today Tiger missed many other short putts today (Saturday) he would normally make including his birdie try on 18. Tiger in his prime was automatic from these short distances and he made those and so many other longer putts especially in these major tournaments over they years. Do you recall?

Tiger's total putts this tournament so far:

Round one 32
Round two 32
Round three 35

I know that you use your literacy for reading only tavern signs but even a moron can see that Tiger's putting is his undoing. Tiger in his post play interview said that it always seemed like he was 3 putting every green. Now, we can discuss why that is without insults or at least I can.

I have seen many of the other greats (Palmer, Player, Snead, Hogan, Nicklaus) lose their ability to make putts from 5 to 10 feet on a consistent basis starting in their mid 30s. Older golfers can hit the ball far and still get the ball onto the greens pin high but they have troubles starting in their mid 30s sinking these putts.

Look at Watson, he can still drive the ball and get the ball close to the hole even at 60 but he cannot putt worth a hoot when it comes to the short putts. Granted Watson is much older than Tiger.

Tiger is no different and when his divorce is finalized and the media glare is off of his private life, he will still not be the force he once was. Time marches on for us all even for the great ones and youth will be served!

I am sure you are a tough, tough guy behind your computer monitor like all of the rest. Just because I do not happen to see reality like you do (and who would want to) does not necessarily mean I am all wrong on the 'age' theory.

Sorry my friend but its obvious you dont play golf.. When you play every day and you take off for an extende time your short game always suffers the most and takes the most time to come back.. Also if you played or were knowledgeable you can just watch Tigers stroke and know he is not developing the yips.. Its still smooth for the most part.. Not 100% back yet on the timing and speed but FAR from a yip stroke.. Plus this glorified hay field they are playing this week is not a good measure for ones putting stroke.. Its a step above your local hilly muni.. Golf may started there but its no great shake in apperance and  condition.. Without the wind its the John Deere all over again. .. Also sorry to break your balls on the Palmer ..Player..Jack... comment on them losing their stroke in their mid thrities is just plain wrong and laughable.. Arnie maybe in his mid forties but Jack and Player putted well into their fifties.. Class over.. If you do play its once a week in a leauge at your muni where you shoot fifty for nine and dont count them all.. Just a quess .. Tiger is in his prime for golfers.. This is a special year and by next year it will be a distant memory..

I do agree with one thing you said.. IMO he will not be the force he once was .. Some of the things he accomplished are like Joe D.. hitting streak.. Never to be touched even by him.. IE winning a major by 18 strokes... Even since Tiger started the fields are eons deeper with good International players and young kids..dont get me started on the bottom tiers of Jacks era.. They were for the most part club pros and journeyman used to fill up the   fields... Not much sponsor money back then for the lower tier.. They were on their own dime back then..Not now even the lower tier guys sign lucrative deals.. In many cases more then what  they win in earnings.. Different game today ..Part and parcel somewhat due to Tiger ..Just like Arnie did he attracts more cash to the game for the other golfers and draws young kids into playing at a early age.. These kids today are athletes .. Not hanging in the grill after golf slamming beers and smoking cigs..

But let's look at the facts. Augusta, Pebble Beach, and St. Andrews. And he hasn't been a threat at any of them. Sure he had a couple of 4ths which is solid but he was never a threat to win either one.

These are tracks he has DOMINATED in the past. Now he's barely contending. He can blame this and blame that but the truth is he has missed a great opportunity at these courses and there are younger players getting better and better each year.

Tiger Woods has won his last major. Hard for amny to accept but it's fact.

Oh yes, the deep field of Els, Mickelson, Singh et al. were so much deeper for Tiger to compete against in his prime than Palmer, Player, Watson, Trevino, Miller and others in Nicklaus' prime. You do not have a clue about the history of what has transpired over time. I doubt you were around to witness the Nicklaus years and you only know about him from what you have read or what you have seen in golf documentaries.

Palmer's putting crumbled in his middle 30s especially from short range. I am guessing you never saw him play at all. Nicklaus and Player could still compete past their middle 30s and win majors but their putting ability diminished greatly over time as well.

Your personal insults aside, I am sure that your hubris has and will cause you much suffering in life. It must be great to sit way up there on that tall mountain in that rarefied air and to look down upon us mere mortals.

Sorry Rainman grew up in Latrobe . Pa..  (Arnies hometown) .. Went to college (SVC) 1/2 mile from his golf course.(LCC) .... Have toted  the bag  numerous times for Arnie when he played at home.. Sorry.. PS the top of the fields were strong in Jacks time but the bottom to mid tiers were very very weak.. Nothing like todays fields stuffed with strong International players.. No money in the game back then till Arnie got the train rolling.. Grew up playing with Rocco Mediate at GCC.. You do the age math.. GL.. With that Tiger "yips" theory.. No insult intended ... Just the facts..

Maybe he could drop down like a trip to the minor leagues for a stint. Rebuild his confidence, then come roaring back and win another 10 or 12 majors like people on this blog (deniers) really think he's going to do.

I'll back off from the statement that Tiger will not won another major. Perhaps he'll win one more or maybe two. I certainly believe he won't beat Nicklaus' record of 18.

It certainly seemed like it was a foregone conclusion that he was going to bitch slap Jack for that record. Something told me that as soon as Tiger lost a close one, many others will step in after they've seen him become vulnerable. Then, the incident with the ho's and now the divorce. We'll see.

Men are horseshit when it comes to handling a divorce. Do you know how much guilt that guy is living with every time he sees those kids? How often do you think he's told himself, "hey idiot, if I'd have just kept it in my pants, I wouldn't have to leave them every other week." It's a gut wrenching experience and to have it all play out in the press has got to make it 10X worse. 

You have to be a real moron or a true blue Tiger fan to have any sort of empathy for him. He did it to himself, and now he has to live with it. He is not the victim, he's an idiot.

Well he used the same doctor as an admited Drug user Rodriguez, another person the media likes so they are letting them both off the hook. Sad how much power the media has,they ended the career of bonds because he wouldn't speak to them. The evidence against Bonds is minimal.
