His irons were on! He was laying back and content to hit irons while other players were 40 yards ahead of him and it didn't matter because his irons were so tight. He missed so very makeable putts or I think he would've been the winner. So Stenson I believe is in form and heading to a place he has fared very well.

Stenson has seven top ten finishes worldwide this season but is yet to win on the European Tour in 2017. In terms of this event, Stenson has the best career scoring average (68.0) and has beaten the field average by 2.5 shots per round in his eight career rounds. He has never finished worse than seventh in Turkey and on a course that suits accurate ball strikers, expect to see ‘The Iceman’ in contention over the weekend.

Stenson Even v Rose
Stenson played great last week in China.

interesting https://www.europeantour.com/myeuropeantour/fantasy-golf/fantasy-three-watch-turkey-335607/ has these three with writeup reasons
Pick of the Favourites: Henrik Stenson Form Horse: Victor Dubuisson Wildcard: David Lipsky
I agree with Stenson @ 8-1 BUT it is hard to overlook Tyrrell Hatton @12-1 with his B2B WINS @ Alfred Dunhill Links and Italy AND a respectable tied 11th last week @ Shanghai
my Form Horse would be "A Fat Barn Rat" @ 40-1 with his tied 2nd in Italy and tied 24th last week although he did somewhat "blow up" the final two rounds @ Shanghai. also has recent tied 15th Alfred Dunhill Links. tied 20th British Masters tied 9th KLM and T-16 European Masters. the Thai "round mound" could be close to a break thru. also Marc Warren @ 40-1 with tied 10th Italy, tied 4th Alfred Dunhill Links, tied 15th British Masters and 2nd Portugal Masters has been "wicked close" his last four
have NO problem with Lipsky @ 100-1 as the Wildcard longshot BUT I would be more inclined to "sprinkle" on players like Matt Wallace, Julian Suri and Lucas Bjerregaard all @ 60-1 OR Jordan L Smith @ 80-1, Fabrizio Zanotti @ 125-1, Dylan Frittelli @ 150-1 along with Renato Paratore and Anders Romero both @ 200-1 who have actually WON a tourney this season
have just done one tourney match play so far with Kiradech Aphibarnrat -110 over David Horsey. BOTH Westgate AND William-Hill have some "wicked tight" matches this week. BOTH have Henrik Stenson -105 over Justin Rose
GOOD LUCK, sacker17

so in 3 od the four "Juice" Luiten defeated "Fat Baztard" Lowry and the one Lowry win was by one stroke
also leaning Peter Uihlein even (opened +105) over George Coetzee on the strength of his last two tourneys in Asia BUT Coetzee been playing well too with 3 Top 10 finishes his last 5 tourneys SO "too close to call". it is one of the "wicked tight" matchups this week

one more "tack on" tourney match play. Joost Luiten -105 over Shane Lowry
so in 3 od the four "Juice" Luiten defeated "Fat Baztard" Lowry and the one Lowry win was by one stroke

Good luck this week guys. My book had Kiradech vs Dunne this week. I like both players but put a bet on Aphibarnrat... I may ride with him a lot this year depending on match ups...
do your books offer single round match ups on the European tour events?

Luitten looks good
Cant believe Stenson didn't show up round 1. Still 54 holes to go but WTF also leaning Peter Uihlein even (opened +105) over George Coetzee on the strength of his last two tourneys in Asia BUT Coetzee been playing well too with 3 Top 10 finishes his last 5 tourneys SO "too close to call". it is one of the "wicked tight" matchups this week

GOOD start for both "Juice" tied for the lead @ [-7] and "A Fat Barn Rat" tied 6th @ [-5]. hopefully both "Fat Baztard" @ [-3] and "The Horse" @ [-1] blow up 2nd round
there I mentioned all the high odds players who have actually WON a tourney this season and forgot Czech Masters winner Haydn Porteous @ 125-1 (got a "sprinkle" on him, just forgot to list) and he is tied for the early lead with "Juice" and Nicky Colsaerts who went off @ 75-1. I didn't bet Nicky this week because he really has NOT been playing well this season. BMW International winner Anders Romero @ 200-1 one shot back of the leaders @ [-6] along Irishman Padraig Harrington. WAY early in the tourney to be "counting any chickens"

AND sure as hell Nicky goes NUTS the 2nd round with [-7] for tourney [-14] and a four shot lead over Eddie Pepperell. almost ALWAYS happens when I do NOT "sprinkle" on a high odds player. watching some last night on Golf Channel the big Belgium is hitting it long AND pure. "A Fat Barn Rat" in 3rd @ [-4]for [-9]AND with a good lead over "The Horse" who went [+1] for [+2]
the other BAD news is "Fat Baztard" Lowry decides to play golf this week and shoots [-5] for [-8] while "Juice" Luiten "blows up" with a [+2] for [-5]. still two rounds to go but NOT looking good
REALLY surprised at how POORLY Henrlk Stenson playing this week after his showing in Shanghai last week. 2nd round [even] for [+2] and 7 behind Justin Rose [-3] for [-5]. just goes to show these guys are ALL inconsistent FLAKES!!! I do NOT know WHY I even fool with trying to handicap them

Cheese LOU-ese!!! watching the tourney last night looked like Colsaerts was just gonna "cruise" BUT he does a "Dustin" on the back side with a two bogie one double four over and goes [+2] for tourney [-12] to go tied for 3rd with Justin Rose (re-run of last week coming ???) and freeking Padraig Harrington
my Thai "round mound" Aphibarnrat tied for the lead @ [-14] with Shane Lowry who is having his BEST tourney since the US Open @ Oakmont. sure as hell I fade "fat baztard" vs Luiten this week and the bugger shoots the course up
really anyone's tourney going into the final round as there are 16 players within 5 shots of the leaders, with the perfect weather making for wicked low scoring, someone could shoot a "bomber" to WIN

WHAT a two weeks for ROSE!!! I KNEW when I saw him shoot a [-7] to get to [-12] just two behind "Fat Baztard" Lowry and "A Fat Barn Rat" Saturday he was probably going to WIN. gotta feel BAD for Nicky Colsaerts who finishes one back with Dylan Frittelli (was pre-tourney 150-1). IF Nicky does NOT have those back side "brain farts" for that [+4] Saturday he WINS EASY
gets a "splitski" on my match plays with "A Fat Barn Rat" easy over "The Horse" BUT lose "Juice" vs Fat Baztard"
ON to the Nedbank in South Africa next week the LAST of the Rolex Series tourneys before the DP Open final. will be interested to see IF young Julian Suri's Top 10 finish this week enough to get him into the Race to Dubai Top 60. last years winner was Alex Noren with a final round "bomber" [-9] for [-14] to catch and pass first three rounds leader Jeunghun Wang by six shots
