replied to Buctober Picks for the 16-17 Season in NHL Betting Sunday Picks: Minn @ OTT (-130) Taking Ottawa at Home where they are 6-2-0. A matchup between two good goaltenders, Ottawa has won 4 out of the last 5 meetings (as well as 8 out of the last 10), with all 5 games being fairly low scoring, none of them having more than 5 goals. Ottawa's offense is currently ranked near the bottom of the league while Minnesota has only Given up 2.08 Goals per game, which ranks near the top. Because of this I'll also be taking the UNDER (5) in this game. Boston @ Colorado It looks like Rask isn't playing in this one so we've got McIntyre and Varlomov in net, both goaltenders haven't been that great this season, McIntyre is 0-2 on the season giving up 10 goals in those 2 starts, and Varlamov hasn't been much better with a 3-6-0 record and an .882 save percentage. Boston always seems to play well on the road, and Colorado is something like 3-8 in their last 11 home games. But personally, I don't trust McIntyre enough to get the job done. replied to Saturday MLB Plays in MLB Betting Love both plays. I'm a pirates fan and they have been just about as awful as any team could be over the past couple of weeks. The over is currently sitting at +124. Schneider is out for NJ which makes the over look great, but Kinkaid has been playing extremely well in his place. Anaheim has some great offense but have scored just 3 goals in their last 3 games which looks bad but they were up against some great goaltenders. NJ has also scored just 8 goals in their last 4 games. All signs point to the under in this game. But I think that with Anaheim's offense and a Schneider-less Devils team the Over offers great value. replied to Penguins today in NHL Betting Pens always start afternoon games slow, and the fact that Zatkoff was in goal pretty much sealed the game from the start for me. An absolute awful back up goalie. Matt Murray will be the back up next year more than likely. I disagree that they are stale cheese or that they can't play without Malkin. They can't play without Fleury, the defense is not very disciplined and it really shows when Fleury isn't between the pipes.
