Chet Holmgren - Over 13.5pts
Full slate tonight and while I love a lot of props, I just can't go past Chet here. The 7ft stud gets his first run out after more than a year on the sidelines and will be looking to make a statement tonight. Throughout pre-season he's looked every inch the star he's touted to be and I believe the match up against Chicago should help him get his NBA career off to a solid start. He's put up 10pts (14mins), 18 (26mins), 16 (21mins) and 21 (16mins) this preseason and should log 30+mins tonight with Jaylin Williams out. He also gets the favourable matchup coming up against an average-to-OK defensive player in Nikola Vucevic.
I'm not too worried about this being his first game in the league as he sat on the bench for the entire 22/23 season so he'll somewhat know what to expect come game time. Barring injury I think Chet can make a serious run for ROTY and I believe Shai, Giddey and the crew will look to get him going tonight. Load up on the 13.5 while the season's young!

That’s how we like to start the season. Was touch and go with the injury to his toe before the game but he hits his total midway through the 4th. Free money to start the season.

My god, am I happy that the NBA season is back! 

Last year was the first time I made the leap from sides to player props and it served me well so lets get the season off right and start making money!

Just the one play for me tonight (it's a longggg season) -

Devin Booker - Over 25.5pts
Surprised this line wasn't closer to 28-30 but can I see how the books settled on this number. Away game season opener in hostile territory should make for tight game between two teams who love to shoot the rock. With D.Book coming off a season where he's scored 27.8 pts on just under 50% shooting, he's now the alpha dog and chief scorer on a team that boasts offensive weapons such as KD and Beal. I expect Booker to have the ball in his hands a lot tonight and I know he won't be shy duelling with Curry, Klay and Wiggins - not to mention GSW losing their defensive talisman, Draymond. His pre-season form passes the eye-test putting up 12 (15mins), 18 (21mins), 19 (18mins) and I believe he looks to make a statement from the outset. Take advantage of the low point totals and lets cash it!

Yeah, the 13 reception game is an anomaly and I’ve probably put too much weight behind it. That being said, the three reception game was a blow out and they stopped passing the ball in the second half. I think/hope Jax run-D lives up to their reputation so Carr looks for the check down.

 Feel the same way. Everything points to Carr checking down after they struggle against Jax rush defence. Just feels way too good to be true.

 Good point. I knew the O-line was banged up but thought that would encourage Carr to check down a bit more. Never thought of the blocking back angle.

 Line continues to drop - now down to 3.5. It would suggest one of PHX stars isn’t playing but injury report is clean and Durant’s individual points line is 22.5 (up from his first game of 20.5) which would suggest he plays. As much as I want to unload on the Suns, I just can’t ignore the line movement. 

Now -4. Ok, that’s weird. Bulls +4 seems like the play now. 

This line has to be a trap, right? 

Durant minutes restriction, Second away game on the road…but surely the Bulls can’t hang with the scoring of KD, Booker, Ayton, Paul? Someone stop me from putting the house on the -5…

I know he's coming off an injury but his points line is seriously low at 6.5. In his last 7 games vs the Raptors he's gone over his number 6 times. Could even look at his 12.5 for P+R just to be safe. Unless he's on minutes restriction I think this is

 No doubt the Celts are a quality team but who scores for them tonight? They’re up against a very solid eastern rival who’s close to 100% health, at home and one of the best defensive teams in the league. +10 seems like a lot of points but when you look at the facts it’s easy to see how they’re at that number. 

Early line is out and the Bucks are favoured by 10 at home while the Celts will be without Tatum, Brown, Smart, etc. 

Bucks -10 seems the play.

Failing that, I feel like like Derrick White will be called on to score the bulk of the points for the Celts with Brogdon coming back from Achilles soreness. No player lines out yet but his over points seems like a good play.
