 I would like to talk about greyhound handicapping & betting. To start with there are several factors that you need to study on each race. Those factors are Early Speed, Post Position, Time -> configured with DTV(Daily Track Variant). Late Speed & Class ( this can be determined many ways, for example, % of in the money finishes). Far and away, the most important of these is Early Speed. Perhaps on a 15 race card I may be able to pick 2-5 races to bet. I post my picks on my website on Saturday night and occasionally any day I map post free picks. It is free! Check it out at my   FREE PICKS SITE the picks for now are at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. I play early speed. When I KNOW (you can never know 100% of the time but you strive for it nonetheless) the dog will get the lead that's when I will bet a race. I bet trifectas and superfectas. I bet my dog in the win and place positions. For example tri part wheel 1/23/23456 & 23/1/23456 & 1/456/23 & 456/1/23. This costs $28. Conditions to win on this trifecta betting system: Your KEY dog must win or place, one of your 2nd or 3rd picks must come in the money and your 7th & 8th picks must not finish in the trifecta. This has been a successful trifecta wagering system for me for many years! My $1 Superfecta betting costs me $72 per race/bet. 
The 2nd most important thing is: DISCIPLINE!! You must have it. I will go to Rockingham Race Track in Salem, NH to play the dogs and sometimes on the card of 15 races I may only have 1 or 2 bets. That's it. I only play those 2 races. Most people cannot sit with all the action going on and not bet, but if you want to win, and who doesn't? then you must have the discipline to not bet those other races. The simple truth is the majority of races are just too close to call. There are 8 dogs in a race so your natural odds of your dog coming in 1st are 12.5% and to finish 1st or 2nd is 25%. You're doing extremely well if you can manage 33% or more over the long run. My current stats, you can see on the website, is 71.4%!!! I post my selections for Sunday's on Saturday.

I bet trifecta's and my wager includes my key dog in the win & place positions - so I count a win as my key dog finishing 1st or 2nd. > The natural odds of that are 25% winners. It seems you are putting everything on the Steelers today. In previous Super Bowls It has usually been the bigger more physical team. I would say that edge goes to Pittsburg, however, I personally have to go w/ green bay. But good luck. I am not betting this one. Hope you win. I have been following your posts.

Hi, I have a website at https://greyhounds.net84.net . I posted yesterday picks for tonight(Saturday Feb 5th, 2011). At the moment I am enjoying a win % of 58.5%! I consider a win to be when my key dog wins or places. As that is how I bet - my key dog 1st & 2nd in the trifecta. On the site is also outlined my favorite trifecta wagering method and links to many handicapping books. There is nothing about the site that costs anybody any money whatsoever! I do not post picks everyday, but try to at least twice a week and always for the Sunday card at Palm Beach. I recommend the greyhoundchannel for setting up an online betting account for dogs.
