Harden and KD are enough and I think the Kyrie situation will get sorted when the playoffs come. If they get injured it will be the Bucks or Heat coming out of the East in my opinion. Maybe the Sixers have a chance if they can find a good trade for Simmons... |

This team is a hard one to predict too. They just lost their most important player in franchise history in Kyle Lowry and got a lot younger this summer. While I think they have a pretty decent roster and one of the best coaches in the league I am a little lower on the Raptors so if I would have to make a play on the Over/Under Total Wins I would go under the 37.5 line. Raptors have a lot of promising young guys including the likes of OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, Malachi Flynn and rookie Scottie Barnes. They also have some more experienced guys like Pascal Siakam and Fred Van Vleet but I do not thing they have a real leader so in a league with so many good teams they might struggle a little. Another reason I think the under may be a better play is the fact their management is very smart so if they think their playoff chances are small they will intentionally rest some guys at the end of the season to get a better draft position. One bet that I like a lot is for at 61.0 odds available at SboBet. At other bookies odds really shortened after his great preseason but I still think it is a good deal if you can get odds over 22.0. He is one of the best defenders in the NBA but he steadily improved his offensive game through his career and this year he may be ready to take a huge step forward especially if we take into consideration the situation in Toronto. The Raptors do not have a lot of offensive weapons with Pascal Siakam missing at least the first 2 weeks of the season. This means OG will have a way bigger offensive role and he showed that he can handle it so far in the preseason leading his team in scoring. Raptors have a good tradition developing young players with Siakam winning this award back in 2019 so I really like this bet and I will rate it . Another bet to consider is the 4th pick in the draft Scottie Barnes to win the Rookie of the Year but I do not think that is a very good idea because he is still very raw and it should take him an year or two to reach the level you need to win such an award. His shot is just not good enough and I think there are many better options for that market. That being said I think Scottie is already a good defender and could have a great future in the NBA as a two way player. |

This team was the best team in the East in last season regular season. The Sixers seemed like they were on the right path after their coach and roster changes in the 2020 offseason. Their super star Joel Embiid had a great season too and if he could’ve played 10 more games he would’ve had a great chance to challenge Jokic for the MVP. However all the positive aspects of the regular season did not matter too much after their elimination in the second round of the playoffs against the Hawks. Simmons was pretty bad in that series and after the last game a lot of people in Philadelphia including team mates blamed him for the loss. Simmons took it personally and he requested a trade. He refused to participate to the training camp and his situation is still uncertain. For that reason it is really hard to predict what their season will look like so I won’t touch the Win Totals bet. One bet that looks intriguing is Embiid to win the MVP but I will not play that neither. So far in his career he always missed at least 18 games during the regular season and if that happens again winning the MVP is almost impossible. |

The Knicks were finally relevant last season when no one really expected. With a new coach in Tom Thibodeau they managed to get the 4th seed in the East but got eliminated by the Hawks in the First Round of the Playoffs. In my opinion they were over achievers in the last season and while I believe they have a better roster I am not very confident that they will be better record wise. Some of their moves this summer made a lot of sense and I think it could help them a lot. However there are a lot of question marks with some of those, especially in the case of Kemba Walker who had a lot of injuries last 2 seasons and seemed to slowly get worse. To be quiet honest with you I struggled to find a decent bet for this team. If I would have to bet on the Total Wins I would go over the 41.5 line set by the bookies but it would only be a 3/5 stars play. Another bet that could make some sense is RJ Barrett to win the Most Improved Award but I have other guys above of him for that specific market. |

The Brooklyn Nets are the bookies favorites to win the NBA title and I agree. They would’ve won the title last year if at least 2 of their 3 stars were available in my opinion. They were really close to eliminate the future champions Milwaukee Bucks despite the fact they only had Durant playing at 100% with Irving out and James Harden playing on 1 leg. They basically have 2 of the best offensive players in the history of the game in Kevin Durant and James Harden playing alongside another superstar in Kyrie Irving. In the limited time all 3 played their offense was historically great and I can’t see any team beating them when they are at full strength. Last season I was also impressed by how Steve Nash managed the team in his first year as a head coach and I thing he made the right choices and played the right schemes most of the time. His relationship with the big stars in Brooklyn also seem very good which is extremely important. Another thing that makes me optimistic about this upcoming season is the moves they made this summer. They signed veteran point guard Mills who is a very good player in my opinion and will be very important in the games Irving will miss. They also got another veteran in Paul Millsap and Aldridge was cleared to play by the doctors. Another intriguing new comer is rookie guard Cam Thomas who showed great scoring abilities and was praised by James Harden and Kevin Durant.
Those are some of the reasons why one of my will be for the Nets This won’t be my only bet for this team. I will also play their win totals for the season despite the Irving situation. I believe 2 super stars is enough for them to be the best team in the league so 2.2 odds for them to win over 56.5 games seems a little too much. The third and last bet for this team will be for . I will start this by saying that for me KD is the best player in the world right now. He is clearly one of the best offensive players in the history of this game and the way he played in the series against the Bucks and the Olympics this summer convinced me that right now he is better than Lebron, Giannis or any other guy in the league. To put it really simply if you are the best in the world and you play for the best team in the world the chances to win the MVP are always high. |

This summer Celtics coach Brad Stevens was promoted to the position of President of Basketball Operations and he was the one who chose Udoka as his replacement. Udoka have no experience as an NBA head coach so we can’t be sure how good he will be but the fact that he spent so many years under Greg Popovich is always a good sign. Other important changes this summer were the signings of veterans Dennis Schröder , Al Hordford , Josh Richardson and Enes Kanter. They should all fit pretty well and be great replacemnts for their departures : Kemba Walker, Daniel Theiss and Tristan Thompson. Many may overstate the Kemba departure but considering last season he spent more time nurturing his injury and his level was not very good even when he played I believe Schroder can be a good replacement. Al Horford should also help this team a lot despite his age. He had some of the best seasons of his career as a Celtic a couple of years ago and he should not only help with his basketball skills but also be a good influence for the young players. Josh Richardson may be the most intriguing signing of the summer. He is also coming after a couple of mediocre seasons playing for the Sixers and the Mavericks. With the Celtics he will play a lesser role on offense and will get the easier match up on defense which is better for him in my opinion. Another aspect that makes me trust this team a lot is their defense. They could start great defenders at every position and that should get them back where they were in the 17/18 and 18/19 seasons. The most likely starting 5 for me is Smart/Richardson/Brown/Tatum/Williams and if you watch this league you know all this guys are plus defenders and some of them are even elite. It also helps that they will have Horford coming off the bench as a defense coordinator and as a model for the young guys. There are a lot of reasons to be an optimist about this Celtics season and I believe they should get. If I would need to predict their record for the next season I would go with a 49-33 or a 50-32 record so this will be a . Another bet that is interesting for me is for the . The odds vary between 11.0 and 14.0 and I think it could be a fun bet. However the Nets are also in this division and I rate them really high even without Irving playing. I would rate this bet 4/5 stars and it is very close to a play. The other bet that I considered for the Celtics is. Tatum is one of the best young stars in this league and he had a very impressive ending of the season. In my opinion he is clearly a top 5 under 25 player in the NBA along the likes of Luka Doncic, Zion Williamson and Trae Young. Last season he averaged 26.4 points per game with 6.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists while playing very good defense. So far in his career he always improves a lot season to season getting better stats in almost every category. If he can do that again and if his team will get close to 50 wins he will for sure be one of the MVP main candidates. A reason to believe he will do that exact thing is the way he ended his last season. In the First round of the playoffs he averaged over 30 points per game against the Nets despite the fact his team was clearly dominated by their opponents. He single handedly won the game 3 of the series with an amazing 50 points game outshining both KD and James Harden. He also impressed me a lot at the Olympics where he looked like the second best USA player behind Kevin Durant. |

Boston Celtics
The Celtics have some good bets to consider for this upcoming season. Last season was not very good for them but I think this year they will be better so the bet for them to go over 46.5 wins seems pretty decent. We will also take a look at MVP odds for Tatum and their odds for winning this division. Last season the Celtics went 36-36 so in a normal 82 games season they would’ve finished with 41 wins. For their standards this was a pretty bad season but it is worth noting that they underperformed their point differential by a pretty big margin. They had the point differential of a 45 wins team which is more in line with their 46.5 wins total this year. They also had injuries to some of their best players with Smart missing 24 games , Brown missing 14 and Walker missing 29. Their best player Tatum only missed 8 games but he struggled a lot in the first 2 months of the season because of COVID. Other rotation players like Theiss and Williams also missed over 20 games so I believe they should have a healthier season this time around. We also need to remember that they had a terrible end of the season when Brown got injured and they only won 5 of their last 15 games.
