anyone else feel violated by that pathetic VCU performance? How is it possible to commit so many fouls and turn the ball over that many times???? |

-13.5 over San Jose State. UNLV is 11-3 (8-6ATS) while SJS is a mere 3-10 (5-7ATS). Is there any possible way that UNLV doesn't blow em out? |

Miss scares me a little and both teams don't have a great record ATS...I will research a little more into that one though! |

Doing a 4-teamer tonight...
Miami -5 over GTech Bradley -6.5 over Valpo VCU -1. over St. Joseph's
Having a hard time with my fourth team...I think I've got it narrowed down to either Creighton or St. Bonaventure. Creighton is -12.5 over St. Johns and St. Bonaventure is -2 over Dayton. Not sure I like the big Creighton line but I'm not sure I trust the Bonnies either. Thoughts on these two lines? Am I missing any other games besides these two that look better? |

A website I use for research has computer predicted outcomes and they have ISU losing to Southern Illinois tonight. I know quite a bit about the MVC and I don't see this even being possible. Anyone have any idea why they would have Southern winning this game? Illinois State must win out if they want a bid (provided they don't win the MVC tourney) and they are by far the superior team in this matchup and they are at home...

Got two 3-team parlays for tonight.
Parlay 1: Northwestern, Iowa St, and Maryland Parlay 2: SC, Akron, and Dayton |

Overall this weekend went 1-4 on 4 team parlays. Enough to make a profit! Pick percentage was extremely high (roughly 75% correct), just didn't do the greatest job pairing my teams together. 3 parlay winners since last Wednesday...hopefully I can keep this streak going this week!

Thanks picksters...a quick early look at today's games I'm liking Akron, Monmouth, Canisius and UW-Green Bay. Will do a little more research later this morning and see if there are any better looking games than these

That's another parlay winner! Back to back!
Slim pickings for games tonight but I'm going to take a crack at it anyway...going for the 3-peat! |

Made lots of changes..took away Denver and Colorado State. Added Utah.
5-3 on the day yesterday, including a winner 4-team parlay! Loyola pulled one out at the last second and it was easy from there with ISU, Utah, and UCI all running away with wins. Hopefully can go back to back with a win today! |

Creighton was a +3 dog when I looked. Being the away team doesn't seem to affect teams like Creighton or Notre Dame simply because they are good/consistent enough teams. It seems that average-slightly above average teams tend to lose those games just big enough, especially at the end of the game. I can't confirm if this trend is completely true as I am just starting to look at this pattern but there seems to be some sort of correlation with small spread away dogs not covering since conference play started. I'm also looking at correlations possibly with 3PT % or FT% as that might be the deciding factor in some of these games as well.

Anyone know about "watch parties"? Not a whole lot online about them, but think I might be open to splurging on doing this on that Friday. I had mentioned Watch Parties early in the thread. I see that there was one comment about a poor experience with "Hoops @ Harrah's." I went to the Watch Party at Caesars last year...I believe it was $150 (Not sure about this year as I have different arrangements) and it was a great experience. If all you want to do for one of the days is watch the games, I'd highly recommend it. If you only want to watch some here and there, I'd save the money. The private betting tables are awesome to have and the buffet food at Caesar's was delicious. If I didn't fall into a lucky situation this year, I'd definitely be going back to Caesar's for the watch party. |

Update: I have removed VCU and Tulane after a little looking. I have made a few additions and my 9 picks for today are as follows:
TCU +4.5 Denver +3.5 Miami +1.5 Kansas St +4 UC-Irvine -6 Colorado St +5 South Dakota +2 Loyola-Chicago +1.5 Illinois State -11 Two games I'm interested to see the result of are Indiana (-3) and WVU (-17) |

Quick look before I do some research but here's what I like so far:
Tulane +12 over Tulsa TCU +4.5 over Texas Tech Kansas St +4 over Oklahoma St UC-Irvine -6 over Cal Poly Washington -1 over Colorado Loyola(Chi) +1.5 over UNI VCU -11.5 over Fordham I have to do some more research on these and may add or subtract some games. Probably looking at one or two 4-team parlays tonight. |

How do people feel about low spread dogs on the road? (ie TCU +4.5 over Texas Tech tonight) I like this line but I've been unsure lately as it seems these picks are not covering in Away games. Do you think being on your home court gives enough of an advantage that it should sway my pick to the home team with the small spread?

I will be out there for March Madness for the second year in a row. A couple things to expect are long waits at hotel check-ins, higher table minimums (I'm not knowledgeable about poker unfortunately), and tons of people obviously. I prefer the Mirage sportsbook over any other.
My best piece of advice if you really want to watch the games and make lots of sports bets: Pay to go to a watch party. I did this last year and it was great...$150 at Caesar's...Huge projections all around the room and constantly changing buffet lines. They also had their own betting tables right outside the room for easy betting. If you want to watch all of the games one of the days, I would recommend doing this in a heartbeat! |

Is anyone else still sore from the Toledo vs. Western Michigan game last night? I finished 4-4 on the night, but I still cannot believe that Western Michigan shoots 70%...I'm not sure I've ever seen that before. I definitely shuffled away from that game feeling different.

Decided on Kansas. Oklahoma with the losing record and missing their leading scorer tonight has me feeling more confident in Kansas covering. Not sure what to expect from this Baylor team tonight but it should be fun to watch!!

I need one more team to fill out my bet. Looking at the following two but I'm not sure which is more reliable:
Baylor at +6 or Kansas at -13 What team and why? |
