I think it is best to just let the machine pick them. Especially if you play all the time. Because, you could end up like the stories posted above and miss one week and see that the numbers you would have picked hit, that is if you pick the same numbers everytime.

I believe that in college, no jersey number can contain a digit above 5. So, yes 55 is the highest. I think that this is because an official must be able to signal to the scorekeeper a player number with one hand. In the NBA, all numbers are allowed.

Kind of sounds as if you were trying to take credit for the system in this statement, when in fact you were just copying and pasting from this other web site mentioned above. I dont really care, because they have been winning.
