History says one of the unseeded quarterfinalists wins straight up on Friday. Rublev or Darcis. Or will history be wrong?

Rain forecast to start the day today, so Center Court matches likely the only ones that will start on time.

You'd have made a killing this week taking MLs against any seed. One of those perfect underdog weeks for the most part.

Don't trust both Mayer and Troicki to win.

Have to say the more I read other people's thoughts, the more I am convinced Donaldson is going to lose early.

Disagree on Coco. She's not in the Tomic mold. She's got passion for the game, her personality turns some off of course.

Faderati is on Nadal -4.5

Indeed. Coco is similar, but she's a little crazy and a few years older, but really shown to be a threat on all surfaces this year at Slams.
I wouldn't be surprised if Coco and Keys are playing more slam semis and finals in the next few years if they stay healthy.

Well the Faderati gets it tonight it appears. Not even watching since NFL is on. Scoreline looks like a total smash job

Accepted. My use of covers is terrible. Had a bunch requests but never accepted lol
If you got Twitter hit me up @tennispig - easier to discuss & more likely to find me quickly.

My future plans are to keep posting tournament previews for you guys and sticking strictly to my talking points in those for early upsets and possible outside runs, etc.
I am at that point in the year where I am a bit run down on tennis betting from day to day, especially with football starting. Probably has shown in my picks the last 3 weeks or so. Haven't been in the flow very well and questioning my original thoughts way too much - not that I don't do that now and again any way! Will post the Faderati every day and I have one other guy I monitor for fades as well that I will post. Right now, he's on a heater, so I have not been positing those. Likely means he will be straight gold after the US Open. Always open to talk tennis regardless of posting picks or not, so hit me up! @tennispig on Twitter too where I frequent a bit more after I post here, I don't normally come back that often in the day. More over on Twitter. Davis Cup previews will be coming for next week, so keep on keepin on ...

Though I would give you the Faderati rundown, so you can see the glory. Again, there are weeks when guys run hot, but this guy has been way more cold since I started watching him.
This is just from the last five days or so.
US OPEN PICKS from the FADERATI Edmund over Shapovalov (L) Niculescu over Brady (L) Troicki over Dolgopolov (L) Carreno Busta over Shapovalov (W) Sharapova over Sevastova (L) Thiem over Del Potro (L) Safarova over Coco (L) Schwartzman over PCB (L) Venus over Kvitova (W) Pliskova over Coco (L) |

It's not a letdown as much as it may be Del Potro with zero energy left to take into this match. First set should tell you most of what you need to know. I don't think this is a match that Del Potro is going to grow into, he's either going to have it or he'll be flat.
