Adding Hofstra/Elon U 128.5.

Both teams are near bottom of D1 in possession length (Elon 344 of 364 and Hofstra 326 of 364). Both teams are poor shooting from 3. I have visions of late 90’s Dick Bennett Wisconsin teams looking at these numbers.. 

Adding Campbell +2.5.

Campbell is coming off two straight conference road wins (dog in both) and back at home tonight. W&M is 0-3 against spread in last 3 road games. Also, very interesting that KenPom has Campbell as the outright favorite here, unusual to see such variance to spread in conference games, with no notable news (that I have found) to dictate such. Overall metrics of both teams are very close, so will take the home team getting the points.

I was looking into Hawaii +8 as a very strong play, but now +7 at my book. UC San Diego has a lack of depth, and was thinking they may wear down, in a late start adter extensive travel. Can’t find myself pulling the trigger though.

GB has covered their last two Horizon League road games against the top 2 teams in conference. A young team that is showing signs of improvement and I’ll take the points here.

The Tommies have been hot starters lately and currently #3 of 364 in Effective FG % nationally, while Oral Roberts is bottom 10 in this metric defensively. Full game should also be in play but first half seems like the strongest bet.

Badgers have covered 6 of their last 7. Historically they do not play well at MD, but they’re playing great in January including going out west and covering against USC and UCLA. Going east should be a bit easier.

Louisville has covered the 1H in 7 straight.

The SWAC can be brutal! 5 minutes into game there was a 10 min stoppage due to a fight with multiple techs- all bets were off after that.

 I hear you. As a local who follows them, this is probably the toughest environment they have ever played (did not visit Kansas last year). Did play at ISU (which is tough) this year and lost by 25. They did cover at Arizona this year, but students were still on winter break, which is not the same road environment.  I’ve also been tracking the impact of south Florida teams playing in locations below freezing (29 degrees last night when they arrived) - the impact of sleeping in hotel rooms with the heat on is impactful to the body, when not accustomed to it. I don’t have enough data on this yet, but signs are not good for the Florida based teams in this scenario.

Gophers have covered 1H (and led outright) in 3 straight B1G road games and covered 1H in 5 of last 6 overall. 

Kansas -12.5 (-120) 

Beat UCF on the road 3 weeks ago by 41, and coming off a brutal loss to Houston. Expecting them to come out with a statement at home before going back on road this weekend.

Reggie Theus has his best team since assuming the coaching role at BCU in 2021.

Alcorn State has one of the least experienced teams in D1 and struggles against larger teams (BCU has a decisive size advantage here).

BCU has played well on the road this year including an upset at South Florida, and a near upset at Nebraska.
