replied to Holmey's $$$$ Thread THURSDAY - Post Your BEST Play (With Writeup) - 02.25.16 in College Basketball Tonight we have a big battle in the Big East as the Friars vs the Pirates of Seton Hall. Providence hasnt been themselves lately with Ben Bentil dealing with an ankle injury. They have not covered in their in their last 5 games and now find themselves on the tourney bubble. On the other hand Seton Hall is coming off a very crappy showing at St Johns one of witch they should have loss in my mind but pulled of due to a few terrible calls at the end. This team revolves around Mcdonalds all-american Isaiah Whitehead. IF hes not hitting his outside shot like he didnt against St Johns they have trouble scoring especially from outside. Seton Hall did win the earlier meeting at Providence this year and I see a big revenge factor coming. Providence is to good of team to not put up a fight in this game for their tournament lives . Ed Cooley in my mind is the best coach in the Big East at getting his team up for must win games and he has his team back to full strength with Dunn and Bentil both going tonight off some rest. Seton Hall just isnt as good in my mind and I think Providence gets back on track tonight. I have much more I could add but I have such an issue posting on this site due to constant lag and having to restart all the time. $$$$play Providence +5 goodluck god bless. Blazers are coming off the most impressive win in the league this season with a huge win vs Golden State. These two teams are fighting with Houston for the last two playoffs spots and I dont see a Portland let down here. Last matchup between these two teams Portland won by 14 at home. Utah is not the same team on the road and have had issues beating teams with a winning record this season. Utah does have a good inside defense with Gobert and Favors in the middle but they also have awful perimeter defenders in Neto, Hood and Burke. These two teams met earlier in the year with Georgetown pulling off an upset at Xavier. That was a different Georgetown team. They have been struggling as of late losing at home to Seton Hall in their last game. Xavier plays with a chip on their shoulder, they are quite cocky and will be looking for revenge in this one. Since their lose at Creigton they have had Blow out wins at Butler and home against Providence. Xavier can shoot the lights out with bald man Miles Davis and they have the best inside duo in my opinion on the Big East with Reynolds and Farr inside. The spread has been going up all day now up to 8.5 and seems like everybody is on Detroit. Me on the other hand like UIC. UIC is a more competitive than when the Horizon season began covering 5 in a row and 6 of their last 7.They are also much better than home then on the road winning their last 2 with wins over Northern Kentucky and a good Wright State team. UIC has been paying fast pace as late and have 2 capable scorers in Tai Odiase and Freshman Dikembe Dixson. Dixson is quite athletic and I feel is going to end up winning freshman of the year in the Horizon League. UIC is coming off a heartbreaking double overtime loss at Youngstown State who they were leading the majority of the game and had a 6 point lead on in double overtime before YSU hate a game winner with 2 seconds left. So some may say they are due for a let down but I feel they will come back even more fired up and continue to be competitive and cover this game. Detroit has Won their last 3 road games by 6 2 and 8 over 3 bad teams in the Horizon Northern Kentucky, Youngstown and Cleveland State.
