I can give the initials of the 4 individuals australia wide banned - EH, DA, SF, AP.
You have a mate that is a bookmaker at the TAB, ask him why. Another great classic rostos story The TAB is a listed entity in Australia, they cannot lie about bets placed as it misleads the market. Did you stop and think that maybe the guy who had the 15k bet is a large losing punter? |

You can count on one hand the number of banned cutomers australia wide.
You want the smart ones betting with you. Let them on to win $500, and that is a tip to tell you where the market is moving. bookmaking risk management 101. WHERE WAS THE 600K TO OFFSET THE MONEY ON SOUTHS? If action dictates the price, why was there no significant movement? Are you saying that one person bet $600,00 one one side in two NRL games, and coincidently, there just happened to be $600,000 in the market at one bookmaker to offset this? And this money was not around for the other 199 games last season. What a coinicidence! Get this into your head - THIS NEVER HAPPENED. This whole thing is a farce. Just like how organised crime infiltrated all the clubs with PED's, yet the only thing that came out if it was one scared player rolling over on Dank and a guy with a stupid haircut. Real underworld figures those 2 idiots. We're all still waiting for the bikie links to drug distibution across multiple codes to be shown. The only thing that will be swept under the carpet is the ruined reputations of innocent players |

Quote Originally Posted by Rostos: Think about it. Why do you think all the bookmakers have lobbied to the govt recently to ban Australians betting with overseas bookmakers? First of all, why would Australians bet with an overseas bookmaker? The main reasons are punters who are essentially banned here and cant get on so they are forced to go overseas. Another reason is price. Another reason is the avenue to fix. Pinnacle dont have any obligations to the nrl, afl etc etc in terms of reporting. I found it hilarious that the books used the reason that the punter is unprotected , ie they might not get paid etc etc. You think the tab, sportsbet etc give a darn about the punter in this regard? Lol No, they realise the sport they bet on can be easily rigged with fixers betting overseas. Overseas books like pinnacle have no reporting oobligations to the sporting bodies here. Any punter with half a brain that wants to fix would bet overseas. why do bookmakers want betting overseas banned? BECAUSE THEY WANT ALL THE CUSTOMERS HERE. Is it that hard to understand? How can you rig a game when the max bet is 30k? And that is only on gameday. Right now I can only bet to win 3300 at Pinnacle. How can you fix a match doing that? You do understand that a max bet will move the line don;t you? And there was apparently $600,00 bet on each game. So 20 max bets at Pinnacle moves the line 20c? Firstly, they would close the game after a few max bets for their own protection. Then after every max bet the odds change. If every max bet moves the line a few cents, what happens after 20? and Pinnacle are going to sit by and let all these bets on? They don't react to a string of bets? They do it when they see a string of small bets (https://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/25/sports/tennis/match-fixing-australian-open-mixed-doubles-betting.html?_r=0), why not large? Surely you're not too stupid to understand all of this |

This past weekend Cronulla reached as high as 2.00 at Pinnacle, as low as 1.59 and closed at 1.65. Gold Coast Titans as high as 2.51 and as low as 2.22, Wests Tigers as high as 3.19 and as low as 2.15, Penrith as high as 3.05 and low of 2.18, North Qld 1.13 to 1.07, Broncos 1.61 to 1.47, Manly 3.10 to 2.71. These are all the Pinnacle movements for these games. Do you know why the odds moved in South Sydneys favour in that game? It wouldn't have anything to do with Issac Luke being a late inclusion, wearing the #23 jersey? Seriously, you are so out of your depth here |

Without anything concrete to back it up they sat on it (they didn't know teams or games). Some tried to allude to it, which is why there was a random Paul Kent article a week before about betting. It was actually Kate McClymont at the Herald who did the digging and found out the details. She is the crime reporter and not sport, so doesn't care who she upsets in the game. It was sat on for another 48 hours so that it would get full coverage after Origin, not get lost in pre-Origin hype. How did it all originate? The same way ICAC found out about Margaret Cuneen. A common thread links the two Interesting note in todays SMH "Corporate bookmakers licensed in Australia and Tabcorp have not reported any unusual betting trends associated with two games during last season's premiership that are at the centre of NSW Police enquiries into allegations of match-fixing." |

Just knew rostos will claim this as all fact. Reality tells a different story.
Which bookmaker lets Hayson have a bet? He owes most of them money and nobody wants anything to do with him because he doesn't pay debts. Which bookmaker lets anybody associated with hayson have a bet? Which bookmaker allows anybody associated with Hayson have these bets for these amounts? Which bookmaker took these bets? All bookmakers have denied taking these bets. As most are listed operations, either here or Europe, they have requirements to be honest about bets of htis nature. If it was a smaller, non-listed operation (like a Top Sport), where are their bets laying off? Why did the line in the Parra v Manly game move in the opposite direction? Why did it open at -21.5 and close at -25? Weight of money reduces the line Every bookmaker is required to let the NRL integrity unit know of every bet for a liability over $10,000. Did any bookmakers do this? If they did, what have the integrity unit done with it for nearly 12 months? If they didn't notify the NRL, will this bookmaker lose their license to bet on NRL as the rules dictate? Did none of it happen because these bets never happened? Bookmakers are the first to raise issues of suspect betting, generally before the event (eg Tandy). Why did no bookmaker say anything at the time and not one has said anything since? Why hasn't one leaked to their media buddies "shady dealings" in these 2 games? Bookmakers hate losing money. Which bookmaker takes bets of this size? Which bookmaker takes bets of these size from anybody once their first bet wins? Which bookmaker takes bets of this size against one team, when the customers previous large bet against this team won? If it was at Pinnacle it would take 20 max bets to reach these amounts. If that happened the line would have nearly halved in each game. And if that happened every bookmaker in Australia would move with them. That didn't happen People in the industry are laughing at this. There is no evidence, from bets taken to line movements, that corroborates any of these allegations. This is just "Blackest day in Australian sport" Mark II |
