@gmcsports They weren't healthy. They had one starter. They had played 11 games and lost 6 of them by double digits. They were double-digit home dogs. All those things add up to a crappy team. I don't need to be told there's a difference between a healthy team and a depleted team. That's obvious. |

That has to be the worst performance ever. There's no 'we took the other team lightly' excuse. Minnesota was playing a back-to-back revenge game after 2 straight losses. The previous loss was humiliating. So the double-digit favorite gets up to a double-digit lead and ends up losing. To the team that just humiliated them yesterday, playing only 1 starter and not a good one because they're a crappy team. I almost bet Minny when I saw they weren't going to play ancient Mike Conley in the back-to-back. That made them better to me. What was the thinking behind trading KAT for Julius Randle and a bench player? |

After yesterday's humiliating loss to Portland, the line is still the same in the re-match. So half of bettors think Minny is pissed and will get revenge. Half think Minny is overrated and will not win by double digits. So what's it gonna be? Portland has mostly looked awful. Minny does seem overrated. Without KAT they only have one elite player. Everyone else has massive holes in their game. Mike Conley is ancient. How's he going to be in a back-to-back? His last 2 b2b he played poorly. |

@ColinMac
From the rules: Players may not select the same team more than once for the duration of the contest That doesn't make clear if they are two entirely separate contests or not. If I was eliminated in the first contest can I use a team I already picked in that contest in the second contest? Also, is the second contest only for those eliminated in the first contest, or are us losers competing against people who are good enough to still be alive in the first contest? |

It would be nice if covers posted the official rules. It seems you can use a team in the second chance pool that you already used in the full season pool. But it would BE NICE if there were official rules posted somewhere that said whether that can be done or can not be done. |

Then why not bet Ragans' strikeout prop instead? Ragans could give up a home run, Rodon could be rusty, errors could create unearned runs as in Game 1. I'm not telling you what to do. I'm asking why if you cite his strikeouts you don't bet on that???? |

Padres bring in Jason Adam, who pitched yesterday. Past 2 times he pitched on back-to-back days he got hammered. He enters tonight and instantly gives up a hit and a home run. |

Oh great another sucky pitcher. Save the good ones for next season. |

162 games, home field advantage in the first round, looking at being swept in 2 games, making it all for nothing. So of course the O's manager brings in Cionel Perez and his 4.53 ERA to replace a pitcher with a 3.02 ERA who struck out 2 and only threw 15 pitches. |

Yes. I tried to delete the initial post but that isn't an option. |

Never mind. Maybe I made the pick not noticing the date. |

I can't make a pick because my account says I have a pending pick of Bal + 3 on September 5. I didn't make that pick. Anybody else have this issue? |

Come on. There has to be a site with this info. |

@PickDude
How is Burnes "unhittable"? He gave up 9 hits, including a home run, in his last start. And 2 home runs in the start before that. The prop on his hits allowed is 4.5. He's given up more than that in 8 of his last 10 starts. Seattle's a weak-hitting team, so I'm not saying there's an 8 in 10 chance of winning on the over in terms of hits, but Burnes is certainly not unhittable. He have up 7 hits to the White Sox! |

Don Best dot com recently ended its "legacy" site. If you clicked "classic" under MLB matchups you would see at a glance each game's pitching matchups with pitchers' era and whip. You also saw each team's W-L record and runs per game. Then, if there was something that made you think that game was worth a deeper look, you could click on it and the next page would show each pitcher's home and away splits, their last 3 starts, and their last 3 games against today's competition. And it would show each team's results for the last 15 games, how each team did against lefties and righties, home and away, day and night. It was a wealth of information, and if you wanted still more info you could go to the legacy site's "enhanced" matchups page, click on the game you are interested in, and get a wealth of info on each pitcher. All in simple, readable text. No stupid graphics or enhancements. Is there any site that has all that info in such an easy to use format? And NO, covers matchups are not in any way comparable. |

@pjlvio
Tarleton was the team playing for revenge. That was a factor in betting Tarleton. If Tarleton had stomped Sucky U the first time then Tarleton might have had a cavalier attitude going into this game. |

@PayMeHardRock
Those 3's were crazy. When they weren't hitting them they were getting fouled and making all 3 free throws. |

@pjlvio That makes Tarleton a better bet, not a worse bet. Revenge is a powerful motivator. |

@Stryc9Nine The 3's are definitely making me nervous. The crap team is shooting 60% on a large volume. For the season they shoot 28.9%. |
