Wow, I was thinking the boys were Ina great fade spot since they lost a heartbreaker, and the skins are coming off a bye week.

As far as cover corners go, The Herd's Cato threw for TWO Tds. And, as far as the rush def goes, they gave up a TD to The Herd. We're talking about Marshall. And with tech (not a throwing offense) I don't know how important DBs are here except to stop a long run. I'm a techie, obviously. But the Hokies struggled to put away E Carolina on the road. Now, they travel to Bobby Dodd? Addition to a short-week this team is also coming off a triple OT situation... tired legs, and a tired defense. Could be high scoring given that I know our def has been shady over the last.... lifetime. Given that I am a techie, I know that I could (prob am) biased so im staying away from the sides, and am thinking about the over/under at 43... going over. Quote Originally Posted by bibendi23:

What happen to those days as a Hokie? I have no faith in our offense to come back from more than 1 td these days. Logan Thomas, while taking the brunt of the criticism, is really not the problem. The bigger issue is the wide receivers who can't run a legitimate route and even when they do, drop the damn ball. I actually feel for Logan this year... But we own GT. We have won 3 straight against them since they ended our run at a NC in 2009. They have all been very good games but the thing that VT has that most other teams don't is an unstoppable front 4. And they have depth within that front 4. Bud has also taught this defense how to avoid the chop blocks that Paul Johnson loves to throw at the knees of every defender. Also keep in mind that the Hokies have 3 shut down corners on this defense(4 when Exum gets back). They can put 9 in the box and let their corners defend on an island against this GT team. So GT generally has a difficult time scoring points against us. The GT defense isn't very good but has been opportunistic this season. That is the worst scenario for a VT team that loves to turn the ball over this season. Luckily Edmunds is listed as probable and JC Coleman seems to finally be healthy for this one. Edmunds has done really well for having holes the size of vodka bottles to run but I think Coleman will help Logan a lot with his ability to catch the ball and make plays out of the backfield. This would of course hinge on Logan's ability to check down and not force a throw...never his strongest suit. The Hokies special teams seemed to turn the corner last week as Beamer has finally started putting his starters back on Special Teams. They blocked a punt for a touchdown and blocked a field goal to prolong the game. This could be key in a game where points may be difficult to come by. So what is my play? I don't know. I can't pick my behind the last 3 years on VT games. I think VT has a very good shot at winning this game. They are so good on defense that they are worth a look at any spread of a touchdown or more as they will not be blown out of any games. I think laying 7 with GT is absolutely bonkers. My plays would be VT +7, VT ML and Under |

Gonna be straight forward here... I'm a giants fan. I know how we roll. That destruction of NO at our house was more about NO calling it a season than the gmen dominating. However, the giants are starting their annual playoff run. Never get in the way of that! I think the giants would've win that one against NO regardless of how they played tho.
Atlanta is a good team, but they're not great. Ryan has sucked of late. Gmen are gonna play a great game, and Wilson should be the primary ball carrier... Not enough video on him to plan against on D. Giants roll here. Usually, I'm on your side LC. Not this week, or last. Or next:-) GOODLUCK all. |

Ya'll, I agree that RGIII is awesome. No doubt. But, the NFL is a team sport more than any other sport. Sure, RGIII had a great game last time they played, and was willing his team to victory. But, you can't discredit the Giants win because of blown coverage. The Skins Def has done that all year. And, they are not getting better. The G-men on the other hand are getting healthy, and focused. Much more so than the last time they played. Sure Garcon is back. But, so is the Giants pass rush. And, they have more video now. GL regardless of how you bet. I'll take the G-men in this spot every time, just like last week. (I'm sure many of you took GB with the same betting logic... A-Rod is gonna light up that secondary, no? Didn't happen when the pass rush starts putting a qb on his behind every other down, huh? RGIII will get away many more times than rodgers, but he won't have the time to look downfield for the big plays.
Giants and the under. Then, onto NO at meadowlands. (Most likely another G-men victory given that the Saints have nothing to play for, but that's for next week.)

I couldn't agree more. I keep saying that Car def is going to score some Tds tonight. But, I do feel that Philly offense will get demolished once again, maybe score 10 garbage time pts. Carolina will score 20-27 pts (between defense and offense)... It's pointing to -3 and the under for me. Let's see!! GOODLUCK all.

The Carolina def is being under rated this year. They only seem to suck bc Cam isn't really getting the big plays this year. Philly is the most over rated, if simply for the fact that they just don't care anymore. With the Philly boo-birds out in full effect, the firsrt mistake could be their last. Car is going to come out and make sure that happens immediately. If this was a 7.5 or more point spread, I might bite on the Eagles, but not by a field goal. Vick/McCoy out... that d is just going to pin their ears back and get after the rookie, and make him make mistakes. And, Foles knows how (esp behind that broken oline.) I'm going Car -3... but, good luck.

Yeah, I'm not biting. This line is trying to tell me that these two teams are pretty close in "suckiness", so take the points at home bc it might be a game the Eagles can win. The fact Of the matter is that the Eagles are in fact really that bad. And, at this point they have all been so humiliated that even a prime time spot can't save them. Reid is a dead man walking, players know it. Carolina might be bad, but I could see Killa Can hitting Smith for a buck fifty, and a score. And, getting 200 yds, and two ground scores. I'm gonna lay the points here and take the panthers for the first time this year.
I've watched the eagles (giants fan here) and I know for a fact this team is much more talented than this, but their oline is in shambles, qb is horrible, WRs can't get open, etc. and, the Panthers D is very under rated. This WILL get ugly, IMHO. Good luck though. |

hmmmm, atleast two of them. and, I'm a giants fan. These are the games we love to lose. Den can win that game, given NE hasn't been particularly consistent. Already parlayed the ML the other three ;-)
Gl regardless.

nice pics bro. just started following ya. any thoughts tonight? I'm liking the primetime spot for Rodgers and GB, and the NEED for a win. Seattles run D is pretty nice, but when was the last time GB needed to run? If Jennings is active, it's even more of a play, no?
Good luck this week. |

Feeling Indy as well. Their last win took home court back, and stuck a dagger in their hearts. Wo their big guy, they aren't a playoff team.
