No goalie in MIN. Wild are almost surely screwed.

Who else thinks it's hilarious that UT St is beating BYU like a rented mule / red-headed stepchild / $2 person?

OVER!?!
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!?! Nothing is over until WE say it's over! ...seriously though, there's NO WAY Romo pulls this one off. |

Throwing out cards like he's dealing a hand of 7 card stud. I guess this is what happens when someone pisses in the ref's Kool-Aid.
When I saw this match on the schedule I would have guessed EVERYONE would have bet GER-1. I didn't think the ref would have his money on it but...seems like something ODD is going on. Do they have a rules committee that reprimands random crap like this or what? |

As pathetically disinterested as the Hawks look...THIS GAME, THIS SERIES...IS OVER

Wish I could be watching the Nucks pound the Hawks into the dirt!

Both series underdogs:
Wings take out the parenial playoff loser-Shrex. Nucks take out the youthfully unfocused Hawks. |

If I hadn't just seen that save by Luongo I would never have believed it had happened.
The old: sprawled flat with one arm in the air for the perfect glove save!!! |

Other than Bryzgalov, I think he's the best goalie left in the Western Conference. |

While Luongo is quite streaky, he's currently on the way toward the crest of a good streak. What he's "done"...Gold medal is nothing to sneeze at but his real chops were cut when he was with the Panthers. He's not going to flinch and the Nucks are ALL OVER the puck in front of him...most of the time.

Vancouver: They've got the goods. Determined. Skilled. Experienced...especially in the net (i.e. WHERE IT COUNTS).
Pittsburgh: While there's really no talent differential to speak of between Pitt and Washington, I see the league favoring the Pens with a few generous calls. Plus, they've been here and know what to expect. |

I can't say that "score at will" quite surmises the situation but to say that the shots taken by the Caps were half-assed and unfocused seems to be a bit more realistic. They had a dozen half-empty, goalie-drawn-out, juicy-rebound scoring chances and converted exactly one of them.

The Caps really look like they want to play g6...maybe even g7. While Halak is getting all the credit from the announcers, even I can stop every puck that hits me squarely in the chest...or goes over the net...or misses the net entirely.
Sad. |
