Vegas throw out Baltimore +7 and of course, many people think "Wow, gimme the Ravens and I'm getting 7 points" If the previous playoff loss to Baltimore is in your mind and such a factor, why didn't Vegas make it a 3-point or 4-point game? Because by giving you 7, they draw more people in. Patriots will light up that terrible secondary. 35-10.

Think about it: 1. Ravens dominated Pittsburgh because Steelers had no running game and Ravens could drop 5 or 6 into pass coverage. Steelers could not exploit terrible Baltimore secondary. 2. Patriots can run the ball very well, they have a tight end (Gronk) who Brady can get the ball to and Baltimore can't just try to shut down the pass. I think Ravens' secondary gets lit up. 3. Bellicheat has had roughly 10 days to prepare for Ravens and if Baltimore can't run the ball, Facco will be running for h s life.
Give me New England -7

Isn't there some super ATS trend for home favorites in wild-card round?
in NFL Betting I remember from a few years back that there is some ridiculous ATS record for home teams favored in wild-card games.
Anyone know it? |

We all focus on the Hail Mary and all those laterals that cost Western Kentucky and many here the cover on Wednesday. Actually, the play to look at was the fumble inside the Central Michigan 20 with 6:45 left, which was returned by Central Michigan and touched off the final spree. If Western Kentucky holds onto the ball there, they probably get to 56 points and put it out of reach, or at worst take 3 minutes off the clock and put the game away. Or on their last possession, instead of running dive plays, a sweep on one of their last 3 plays would have let Western Kentucky use of 6 to 8 seconds instead of 3 to 5, and the punt that barely rolled into the end zone with 1 seconds left would have used all the remaining 6 seconds or so instead of punting with 10 seconds left and leaving on last play. But a bad beat, for sure.

Don't be surprised if the Bengals don't go all out tonight against Denver to make sure they have their best players healthy for Pittsburgh next week, when the division is on the line. A few years back, Dallas did the same when playing the Eagles and the lowly Eagles won the game in Dallas. |

Cutler is awful, Bears protecting for next week against Packers.

Am an Eagles season ticket holder who sold his tickets tonight but I like the Bears. Philly has nothing to play for and those big Bears receivers are trouble, anyway.

Packers are 7-7-1. |

Packers are 7-7-8, Lions are out. Bears are 8-6 and can wrap it up with win and Philly has nothing to play for, right? Gotta be Bears +3 then. |

Lions loss leaves Bears at 9-6 with win, Packers with a win at 8-6-1. Gotta take Bears +3. Eagles position doesn't change with win or loss and staying healthy for Dallas is more important.

Eagles need to beat Dallas anyway, but do they need to play hard tonight?

OK, something tells me the stupid plays in the NFL are by players who scored either highly or acceptable on the Wonderlic tests. OK then, so what did the dopes who failed the test score? Good lord.

I watch some games on CBSsports.com and there are multiple tweeters about the game. Who are these dumb phucks?

Because they scared a Seattle team which overlooked them, or beat a Detroit team which is clearly unreliable at home? Bucs are playing better, but still terrible on the road. Rams for me.
