Houston Rockets -6 1H @ Philadelphia 76ers

Houston is the far better team, but with some nagging ailments to stars Dwight Howard and James Harden, the Rockets will likely look to get out to a big lead and get those two some rest late in the game as they prepare for a tough 3-game stretch, including a game at Miami and home contests against San Antonio and Golden State later this week.

Don't mistake anything I'm saying as me being a Hokies fan or even thinking they're top 25-worthy.  Sports betting is simply about picking the winner of a given matchup.  On a sidenote, if you don't think a week 2 OSU would have beaten a week 2 BC you're crazy so the analysis of those games is relevant.

I doubt OSU hangs 45 on them, but I'm not trying to say VT is better than OSU, and they don't have to be to beat Pitt tonight.  At least the Hokies do have that win.  Pitt's best win is BC, and they lost at home to Akron.

At the end of March Madness 2014 I broke away from one of the winningest handicapping groups on the web in hopes of enjoying the creation of my my own sports betting empire.

My trusted clientele, which refer to ourselves as Team Road King, are off to lukewarm start this college and pro football season, but there are so many plays ripe for the picking this weekend, and it starts tonight with Virginia Tech at the Pitt Panthers.

The Play:  Virginia Tech Moneyline

Virginia Tech has proven itself on both offense and defense against much stiffer competition on their way to a 4-2 record that includes a win at Ohio State.  They've held 3 teams who have put up a lot of points this year (North Carolina, East Carolina, and Ohio State) to an average of just 22 points.  Tonight they'll stifle the running attack of the Panthers, hold them right around that 22-point total, and score just enough to win this road contest and stay in the thick of things in the ACC Coastal Division.
