Face it, Clemson beat the second-best team in the SEC to open the season, which is still probably the most impressive win on any team's resume this season. mws, im not trying to talk trash about your Tigers, im really not. Yall have a good team this year. Im just trying to offer some objective perspective on why I would lean towards FSU this sat. Im just saying i would not point to Clemson's bowl win over LSU and their UGA win as reasons they will beat FSU. FSU has a MUCH better defense than UGA. But to address your points, Gurley did NOT play the whole game. He went to the locker room after his 75 yd TD run in the 1st Q and finished the game with only 12 carries. GL this weekend

just to add my 2 cents, as not a Clemson fan (obviously), but someone who follows Clemson fairly closely. I agree that DV is a huge advantage at night, and Clemson has been lights out there the last few years. They definately have a good team this year. HOWEVER, the reason I think this line is what it is, and is reflected in the "Vegas poll", and that for once, the public perception of Clemson is that they are actually better than what they are.
I have never seen a team get as much mileage out of winning a fairly middle of the road bowl game as Clemson beating LSU last year. That was a great comeback win yes, but lets not act like LSU was not lacking in motivation in that game. That fueled their hype heading into this year, which was furthered by Dabo constantly touting them beating an "SEC power". Now, i give them all the credit in the world for beating UGA, but again lets look further at that game. UGA was without Gurley for over half the game, and turned the ball over at the Clemson 3, and still almost won. They moved the ball at will on Clemson, but just got outscored, on what has proven to be a porous UGA defense. The main reason i give FSU an advantage here is their defense. I think FSU will score plenty of points but their defense will be the difference. Boyd is a great QB, but has shown he is a different player when pressured (see the South Carolina games of the last 3 years). FSU has the ability to do that, to a level which no team has all year. If FSU gets ahead, and can tee off on Boyd and a suspect offensive line, i think that will be the difference. Obviously im a Gamecock fan, but i watch Clemson plenty and feel very informed on their team. I would not be shocked if Clemson won this game because they are at home, but with FSU offense and their defenses ability to pressure Boyd, i would take the Seminoles here.

What SC-Georgia games have you been watching??? Even in this "down year" of his, he sacked Murray this year, and just missed 2-3 others with pressures. Last year, he also had a sack, with multiple pressures while hurtling UGA linemen with Murray running for his life. Oh yeah, and his freshman year all did was make the game changing play slinging Murray around like a rag doll and causing a sack fumble that resulted in the game winning fumble recovery for a TD.....Yep he sucks

yeah i know exactly what paragraph/article you are referring to, as im a member on Gamecock Central. That was ONE post-practice report where the D-line got the better of the O-line, and Spurrier was pissed and said that. I would hard read into that representing the season. Not to mention i think alot of O-linemen will be made to look bad by Clowney....
Im just telling you as someone who follows the program daily, that this will be the best O-line Spurrier has had at SC. He or anyone else associated with the team would tell you that.

not sure what reports you are referring too. This will be by far Spurrier's best O-line since arriving at SC, which he even stated himself. Lots of talent, as long as they perform

I will also have to somewhat disagree about UGA. Although they have definately not lived up to some expectations in the past, they are a real good team. They have definately benefitted the last few years from an easy schedule, as evidence by losing to SC and still winning the East. That being said i dont see them losing 5 games
I am obviously a SC fan, but i agree with your assessment. I think it is time for Spurrier to finally get over the hump as far as the SEC championship goes, and he has the team to do it. My pre-season prediction was 11-1 with a loss at UGA. Spurrier has Richts number so we will see, but beating UGA 4 years in a row and doing it in Athens with the team they have is a daunting task. No doubt we could win, but gun to my head i say that is a loss. The other game that worries me for some reason is at UT, which is part of the 3 games raod trip you mentioned. We always struggle there. Great write-up though, and I hope it plays out as you say. It would be justice for us to lose to UGA and still win the East, since they did it to us the last 2 years. Either way cant wait for football!

UCLA and VCU. I think both these teams have a good chance to win outright. Arizona is overrated and VCU seems prime for a loss. Richmond at home is solid. Moneyline is around +350 on both. Anyone else agree?

What a terrible day. Pushed on the Falcons at +4 after their collapse, then procedeed to lose every bet/teaser/prop after that for a disasterous day. Managed to lose everything i had won on the playoffs, and then some chasing in the 2nd half on the Pats and the over 24. Hell all the Pats had to was win and i would have broken even. What a piss-poor frustrating way to end the season. Damn you Brady!!!

Absolutely unreal, all these "high scoring teams" cant hit an f'ing shot. Gonzago averaging 80 a game and cant hit jack, has hit the over like 7 of the last 8. And then you haveButler basically just trying to run out the shot clock every possession. So freaking frustrating. Of course when i bet unders teams cannot miss, i.e. Cinci/Marg game in the 2nd half.
